Take lots of pictures this Christmas to remember the craziness that was 2020! So many challenges this year in our dental world. Shut down for 8 weeks then opening back up to a tidal wave of emergencies and people who had been needing us and in pain. Then our beloved Dental Assistant Carla decided to retire. Another blow! But we found a wonderful new Assistant, Lingzhi! She is a kind and cheerful addition to Keep Smiling Dental Care Our wish for you, our treasured patients and friends, is a wonderful Christmas, whatever that looks like in 2020 and a Happy New Year!

Dr. Roberts and our favorite Lab Tech Steve will create crowns that look amazing but are technically excellent too. If it looks great but the fit is poor on your tooth, then you've got a problem. You'll never run into that at Keep Smiling Dental Care. Teeth with large fillings are at risk of breaking and a crown fully encloses and covers the tooth, keeping it safe.

A post for all the Dental Assistants out there! Taking excellent xrays for your patients makes you....excellent! All jokes aside, Dental Assistants have the skills and training to be sure your dentist can properly diagnose what is happening with your teeth, with good xrays. Just one more reason they are so valuable to every dental office. Dental Assistants, we appreciate you!

Dr. Roberts is really hoping he doesn't have to resort to this! Just kidding, we will remind you and even demonstrate brushing and flossing anytime. But it's up to you! You are in control of your own oral health, and we want to be your partners in making sure it's the best it can be.

How often are you getting a new toothbrush or electric toothbrush head? If the bristles are splayed out to the sides, or it's been longer than about 3 to 4 months, time to replace it! Another reason is if you've been sick. Toss it and replace it once you are well again.

We have all the PPE and are carefully following AHS guidelines to keep you safe at your dental visit. If you have questions about our procedures, we welcome a phone call to answer them. We want you all and ourselves safe.

Yeah....so true. We dental folks have to wash and hand sanitize constantly, but we are also busy and hurrying to grab new gloves and put them on to do our patient's treatment. And this picture shows how that can turn out!

Did you know Dr. Roberts is very skilled at dentures? Full dentures or partial dentures, he does them all. While we are of course very focused on preventing tooth loss, for some it's just not possible and full or partial dentures are needed. Dr. Roberts takes great care to create replacements for missing teeth that are comfortable, functional and look great. Questions? Call Theresa for info.

If you are concerned about something happening in your mouth, we can help diagnose what is happening and advise you on treatment required.
