WE REMEMBER. On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month we take a moment of silence and stand proud of the country we have. We remember all the soldiers , men, women, doctors, nurses, and everyone that sacrificed all they had to allow every Canadian freedom. We also wish to honour and remember the sacrifices of the animal heroes who watch over and support our soldiers as they stand for our freedoms. ... We will be partaking in a moment of silence at 11am so our phones will be unavailable for a short time. Lest We Forget.
On behalf of Dr. Chris Schell Optometrist office, we'd like to send out a big CONGRATULATIONS to Isaak Phillips from Barrie on getting drafted to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Do you wear glasses? Have you been one of the many who has been getting frustrated with the constant fogging of your glasses while wearing a mask/ face shield? Then FogBlocker is for you! Now that school is just around the corner, make sure you can see, keep FogBlocker in mind!... FogBlocker has two different options: Wet Wipe: 30 in a package. Dry cloth: Use your own breath on your glasses and wipe with this dry cloth! Good up to 1000 uses.

When is 15% not 15%? When it's a misrepresentation that borders on an outright lie, that's when. The Ontario government has said, and I quote: To be clear, in ...the last five years, total fees paid to optometrists have grown by nearly 15%. Well, to be clear, over the last five years, the number of optometrists in Ontario increased by 19%, and over the two-year period between 2017 and 2019, the number of seniors in Ontario increased by 9.5% ... That math seems pretty clear to me: while the total optometric budget may have increased, it hasn't kept pace with the number of docs, and certainly hasn't matched the demands of our aging population. Rather than spin, perhaps the provincial government should do the right thing, step to the plate, and fund eye care in a sustainable manner. If you agree, and value your eye sight, make your voice heard by visiting www.saveeyecare.ca today. Thanks, and enjoy the weekend. #saveeyecare See more

UPDATE: As we're all trying to get back into the grove of everything and living with the new "norm", our office has some changes as well. We now require an appointment for everything done in the office (Exams, adjustments, nose pads, frame selection of glasses/sunglasses, repairs, etc) We ARE NOT accepting any walk-ins. ... Please call our office to make an appointment
FOGGY GLASSES?! We have a solution for you!! During normal times, we know how annoying it can be when your glasses fog up... but now that we have to wear masks ...everywhere, it has become more of an occurrence. Behold: FogBlocker. There are two options: - The wet option where its a one time use for the lenses. - The dry option lets you use it a multiple times with your lens spray.
Uh oh, it's happening again! The big debate on what colour something is. Last time it was about a dress, this time, sandals. What colour do you see?
