Here's what patients are saying about the Mobile Chiro service: "I have had the pleasure of working with Derek in the past couple months. He has been very professional and takes the proper infection control practices while conveniently coming to my house. Derek went above and beyond, provided me with information on assessments and adjustments to make me feel comfortable. He has provided me with education/exercises to manage my own health and proper alignment between appointments. I must say I enjoy continuing to work with Derek as he provides clients with the essential information to improve your health long term rather than just quick adjustments, much more than just a Chiropractor." - patient working on general physical preparedness for long term resilience against low back pain

Most people feel so BAD on a daily basis that they've forgotten what it's like to feel GOOD. People operating at 20% of their capacity and thinking that it's "n...ormal" to struggle through life, battling their bodies that seem to have given up on them. And THAT right there is our biggest opportunity as health and fitness professionals, to help our clients rediscover how eating well, exercising, sleeping and managing stress can improve ALL other aspects of LIFE. How seemingly simple upgrades can compound to make marked change for the BETTER. We are guiding the journey of creating sustainable stepping stone habits to fuel feeling GOOD forever. Now this is NOT a quick fix solution, nor a linear process free from bumps along the path. It still takes work, communication and consistency. But if you can deliver support and stability along the way, you (and your clients) will ultimately become successful.

It's all in the hips! Leaf raking season is upon us and I usually see a big pickup in low back pain right around this time. Hip rotation deficits have been directly related to low back in multiple studies*. As many of my patients know, here's my favorite stretch for opening up the hips before you go and rake those leaves!... If you need more help with back, hip or neck pain this time of year don't forget I have a number of tools up my sleeve to get you moving better including: - Targeted soft tissue release - Instrument assisted soft tissue therapy - Active cupping release - Spinal manipulation - Kinesio-tape - And of course home rehab exercises geared at making your body move better in the long run Call/text or message me for a free phone consultation! Mobility Reset: Work From Home Part 2 . Low back pain? Stiff and achy when sitting? Restless/crampy/fatigued through the back and legs? We’re Back! Hope Everyone had a great thanksgiving weekend! Let’s take a look at another common area for pain and discomfort, the low back. ... . Seated postures place stress on the posterior structures (ligaments, muscles, discs) of your back. They become stretched out all day and then when we go to stand up, bend over, pick the kids or groceries up they are unable to do their job effectively and our back goes out. Nothing is out your brain is locking down the area to avoid a perceived threat to this compromised area. . Many people will be very familiar with the above story. The exercises below are aimed at A) taking stress off of the posterior elements of your back, B) moving your back in a safe way to break up tight/spasmed muscles, C) beginning to build a stronger more resilient back going forward. . General rule of thumb: Get up and move (even for 2-3 minutes) at least once per hour throughout the day. Time spent in a single posture is responsible for many posture related low back (and neck) pain episodes. Repeat this routine twice daily and use any of the exercises above as quick posture breaks hourly throughout the day . As always, if you would like more help reducing pain or tension, give me a call at 226 239 8519 to set up an appointment or free consult! Dr. Nash
