CLIENT TRANSFORMATION Introducing the INCREDIBLE @poundofsteph The before photo was taken in November, 2019.... I have been active all my life, to varying degrees of intensity, but the food part always alluded me. I was the kind of person that justified eating poorly because I exercised. (I mean I trained for and ran a marathon once and my pants were still tight!) When I saw this photo, I knew something had to change. I was just going through the motions of exercise, and wasn't seeing the results I needed. In January, 2020, I randomly signed up for a Drip Fit boot camp at Oxygen Yoga. I had seen the products on the shelf (and even joked that Sweaty Betty me certainly didn't need a "sweat enhancer") but the owner Ranj, and so many of the clients raved about Brenley and told me my life was about to change. They weren't wrong. That boot camp kicked my butt, but I was hooked. Brenley admits now that I stood out as someone who she could see had fight in her, and got in my face and didn't let me quit. So when the world suddenly changed, and gyms and studios closed, I signed up to join a free ab challenge. Then I did a couple of her Instagram workouts. The workouts were a light in such a dark time, keeping me motivated and mentally strong. I knew I had found the missing link. Shortly after, I started up as a full time client doing meal plans and workouts. Then came the big changes in everything. I got stronger. I got fitter. My cardio got better. And most importantly, I found an incredible community of people who would bend over backwards to help a "stranger" in a Facebook group. I have found a wonderful home with Drip Fit + now LivBTR Wellness, and I couldn't imagine my life without everyone involved. I have some pretty lofty goals for the next few years, and I know with the support of Brenley and the entire team, I WILL accomplish them. - Steph WOW WOW WOW - THIS is what @drench_fit is all about. LEARN TO SLOW DOWN In such a high-paced society - allowing yourself to slow down for moments in the day is not only incredible for your mindset & mental health but is ALSO hugely beneficial physiologically! - go for an outdoor walk & breathe fresh air... - read 10 pages of a book - make yourself a cup of tea & enjoy it without hopping on your phone - simply take 5 deep, belly breaths - take a bath - soak up some sunshine! While we want you to be striving towards your goals & stepping into your potential we also don’t want you to forget how important s l o w i n g d o w n is too! HOLIDAY MINDSET Enjoy the holidays. Connect with family & friends (in person with the ones you can, and virtually with the ones you can’t). Take time to reflect on the year. Eat some of your favourite foods. Sip on your favourite drinks BUT... Listen to your body. Don’t forget about your health. We’re not talking about weight loss or fat loss here. That shouldn’t be the goal over the holidays (in most cases) but instead, be grateful for your health, how your body functions & treat it accordingly. You do NOT need to be a slave to the gym or the food scale or your meal plans BUT SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING! - go for a walk - get a quick sweat in (check out our saved classes all active clients have access to, any of the workouts on our page or any on @drip_fit ‘s IGTVS) - have a nutrient dense meal or smoothie once/day - drink 3-4L of water - shovel the driveway - stretch for 30 mins or do a rehab video in the DrenchFit classes Facebook Group - write down 3 things you’re grateful for ALL of these little actions add up to BIG PROGRESS and can change your mindset for the entire day or week. CAULIFLOWER STEAKS Whether you are prepping for the week, needing a new dinner idea or looking for a vegan option, cauliflower steaks are an easy, quick, inexpensive & nutritious switch up! If you have done our gut reset, you may recognize this recipe from our eBook we provide you with but it is SO good we just had to share it with the world!... - 1 large cauliflower - 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, plus extra for frying - 1 teaspoon ground turmeric (HUGE anti inflammatory properties) - Fried curry leaves, to serve - Thinly sliced fried red chilli, to serve - Salt and pepper to taste Directions: Make a paste. Cut cauliflower in steaks. Rub paste always over steaks. Bake at 350 until golden brown. It’s that easy! Let us know if you try!
