Hello all. Crazy to think that today is our last day of the season. I'll say you all kept my sons and I very busy and I loved every minute. We have been open since June 1st and have received a tremendous amount of support from everyone and wow I've even surpassed 1000 likes it's great. So we will be back next season and we look forward to a longer season to better serve you all.... From my family to yours we thank you for another great season. Keep the flat side down. This little river sure has changed since we've arrived and we love to see all the new paddlers out there enjoying it as well. Hello all. This is for the kayakers. Classes will be running every Wenesday. Kayaks and gear will be provided. Lessons will be on site here at Drifters. Classes are limited to 5 people per class. 6:00 -7:30 PM... Cost is $100 and that's for 1 class the lesson is 90mins. The date are Wenesday August 12,19,26. Weather pending ofcourse nd the rain date is set for the next day Thursday same time. We hope you find something to fit in your schedule. If the schedules fill up we will also add dates but only after they fill. Message us with your date please. Genny

This lovely photo was went to me by a kayaker today. Ducks of all ages these guys are quite big like momma duck on the left. Also they keep pooping and everyday it takes buckets to clean it. Lol cute little guys though I love our morning chats.

I'd your deciding to paddle please bring hat and lots of water. If you dont have to paddle wait for a cooler day as well. Were not going anywhere. Cheers

I would also like to mention quickly that of you call for an appt and have to for some reason cancel let us know so I can use the boats and rent them to some other people. It's happened several times now and I dislike turning away people if we dont have ...too. I just want everyone to have an opportunity to paddle here at Drifters. Please and thank you. Happy paddling

Hello fellow paddlers, Just want to send out this message on account this is a home based business and we have to maintain numbers. So please remember when you reserve a time the group limit must be 4 how ever groups can be spread apart. I just don't want to not follow rules stated by the Ontario government on groups of 5. Hello everyone. So it's apparent people want to rent our boats because of the amount of calls coming we've recieved. We're excited to be able to give everyone a chance to get on the river. On that note I am reminding everyone to call ahead and book before coming. We do not want to have multiple groups on our property with no control. Please be aware that we are not going to giving a lesson or tips when you depart to minimize the contact. You must have experience paddling... to launch here, this is not the time to decide to learn how to paddle as you all know. Safety is my first concern we are home based business. We also have to right to refuse people who we believe have never or no experience. I dont want to be responsible for someone and or others who have to rescue them. You are responsible for yourself. Please respect are decision and we will all work together to make the summer best we can get. Keep the flat side down Cheers

We have some new rules but know we can all work together to make the season work. Also we will be offering rentals by appt only because we just cant have random people stop by. Well saw a couple of people who were clearly paddling a single kayak with 2 adults innit and no life jackets on. If they tip it would be terribly cold and shocking let alone being stuck in a single cockpit with 2 people. Please paddle responsibility it will be the people who live alongside the rover who will have to help you if you have a issue. Stay safe everyone

Hello fellow Mariners! Hope this message find you all safe and happy. Crazy times at the moment and I'm writing to say that we are closed and wont be opening any time soon. We apologize and wish we could rent and provide you a service but it is not safe, and better safe then sorry. For what it worth and please remember to wear your PFD if your on the water, to prevent any injuries to oneself or to put anyone at risk who has to save you. Happy holidays everyone! We like to say thanks for all your support all year long. Much love to you all. As for the Holiday schedule I'm running classes next ...Thursday Dec., 27 and the following Thursday then back to regular classes the following week. We are changing the class cards and drop in fees in 2019 as well as making small changes in the class schedule. I will put the new schedule out next week. The new prices are as follows. $15 a drop in and $120 per class card. Namaste everyone

Paddle fit class today

Paddle starts next week. We still have several spots open. Tuesday’s start at 10:00 am- noon Thursday start 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm... Classes run approximately 90 mins and we supply all required safety equipment. Please feel free to bring your own gear if you have it. Please wear appropriate attire and bring water and a hat if sunny. Arrive 10 mins early to launch boat and put on your safety gear. Call to sign up

Happy first day of spring everyone! I hope you all made it through the winter safe and sound. It's that time to make some announcement for the summer schedule Summer camp schedule is as follows for ages 10 to 14 ... Week 1 July 9-13 9:00 am - 4:00pm Week 2 July 23-27 9:00 am - 4:00pm $250 per person They will be given lessons in SUP, canoeing and kayaking and also will learn water and paddle safety and munch more. Swimming is a must they will be given a swim test with PFD on and off. With several paddles and excursion on Friday it will be a fulfilling week. Please call for more information!

Please be sure to take a peak. ... We have a War Canoe on hand and are looking to run some evening paddles and tours or maybe even looking for some team building then a try war canoe. We will be announcing the summer war canoe schedule next month. Summer camps ages 10-14. Were looking to run a couple 1 week long sessions. They will have the opportunity to Kayak, canoe, War canoe and of course SUP with a strong emphasis on water safety. Please contact us if your interested. Keep the flat side down. Namaste everyone, I hope 2018 has been a great start and only looking to be better. Since spring and summer are coming fast it's time to start planning new ev...ents. I've decided to start running day retreats based on different themes. Etc. Aromatherapy, Reiki, meditation, restorative, water sports, relaxation and basically anything you can think off within reason. Yoga will of course be part of every retreat and snacks will be provided. So my question is to all you is what style of retreat would you like to participate in here at Drifters Outdoors? Please comment below and share with all your friends. We're also able accommodate a private retreat for groups like team building or friends just getting together.
