Breaking down the 2020 Canadian Brewing Awards - Part 1. There were 167 awards up for grabs. Which included Beer of the Year and Brewery of the Year. Here's the... Medal Count. BC - 43. Including the most Bronze (18) and Silver (14) wins. Won third amount of Golds at 11. BC is the overall winner by award count. Alberta - 39, including Brewey of the Year for Common Crown Brewing Co. Alberta won the most amount of Golds at 17. Alberta is kicking ass. If this were the Olympics, they would be considered the overall winner due to their Gold wins and even by winning Brewery of the Year. Ontario - 35. Including the second amount of Golds at 12. Quebec - 26. Including Beer of the Year for Glutenberg Red from Glutenberg. Nova Scotia - 7 New Brunswick - 6 Saskatchewan and PEI - 5 each Manitoba - 1 No Awards won by any Newfoundland & Labrador breweries and the Territories (all 3) breweries.
