DRIVE U17 Elite Red battled all the way, leading by 4 at half but suffered a tough loss to a very good Team Faith in the Semi-Finals of the Best of Summer. This marked the last AAU event for Sabry Philip, Miguel Tomley & James Woods, three of our best players ever. .. Miguel took the mantle from our previous great players and took it to new heights. He gave us countless memories full of big wins & truly amazing plays. He took our program up a notch. With him playing, we tru...ly felt like we could win any big game, and we often did! Thank you for your amazing dedication to our program Miguel. You truly are a DRIVE legend! .. James Woods is the most popular DRIVE player ever! He has been an inspiration to everyone ever since he started as a youngster in Gr. 3. We have been blessed to watch James grow for the past 9 years. One of the best players we’ve ever had because of his amazing skill set and passion for the game. James was a walking bucket. He played for DRIVE with absolute pride. Thank you for everything you have done for our program! .. Sabry Philip is a gem. We have been so fortunate to have him play for our program the past two years! In that time, Sabry has endeared himself as a great basketball player but also a great person. He is definitely our best dunker ever, but his game offers so much more than that. He has great all-around offensive skills and is one of the best defenders we’ve ever had! This summer he took over a leadership role and played like a warrior. Every big game we had Sabry came to play. Thank you for your dedication and commitment Sab! .. Three more great players to add to our outstanding alumni.
