The doggo can confirm that @nicole_cruickshanks had a PAWsome experience at JRP Health! Don’t have time to walk your dog before your treatment? No problem! Take them with you Have allergies and are concerned this may be an issue for you? Not to worry. All owners have to provide adequate notice so we can ensure no patient with allergies on file are booked. The clinic is properly cleaned when the doggo leaves ... Hope everyone had an amazing Thursday. Dr. J

Increasing Squat Depth for Injury Prevention PART 1/3 We hear it all to often: I pulled a hammy, I have Achilles tendon issues, my knees are bad so I don’t squat.....the list goes on Have you ever asked why these things are happening? Or do you just push through it because it will eventually get better?... Most injuries resulting from squats are due to THREE MAIN REASONS: 1. Poor hamstring mobility 2. Ankle Mortis Joint Restriction 3. Poor gluteus maximus mobility and hip flexors control In this video, I show you a SIMPLE passive stretch to increase your hamstring range of motion. See the proper protocol below: Lay Supine. Laying supine maintains the position of the pelvis. This prevents posterior pelvic tilt during the stretch so that you can get a true hamstring stretch. Preventing this tilt is like preventing a butt wink during a squat. Mimicking this in a stretch is the first step to injury prevention. Now, pull the knee toward the chest and point the toes toward the sky. Next, extend/straighten the lower leg toward the sky. Do not allow the hip to come out of flexion (knee moves away from the chest) Perform this stretch BILATERALLY (BOTH SIDES) Frequency: Daily Sets: 3 Intensity: 1 minute holds Any questions? Maybe want an appointment for me to assess your squat or treat a squat related injury? COMMENT below

Hi Everyone! Excuse the Halloween costume/aka mask , but... it’s for your safety . I hope everyone has been doing well during such a difficult and unprecedented time. It has been great to see the economy slowly reopen and see people getting back to work safely. . I am happy to announce that I will be working two days/week at @stradahealth on the Bedford highway on Tuesday’s (3-7 pm) and Saturday’s (9-11 am) as I await word from Goodlife Fitness when I can reopen KinFix Hea...lth in the Halifax Parklane location. . I will also be setting up a Chiropractic office in Fairview soon (not under KinFix) to allow more treatment hours so I can give each of you the treatments you need and deserve. Update on that coming soon! . DON’T WORRY, I am not leaving KinFix Health! This is simply a temporary setup as I await word from Goodlife regarding approval for return to work. . If you are interested in an appointment, please DM me, reach out to me by email at [email protected] or comment on this post! I look forward to seeing you all soon! . #chiropractic #chiropracticcare #halifax #downtownhalifax #movement #movementismedicine #rehab #prehab #covid19 #protection #health #halifaxnoise See more
