As we prepare to enter a province-wide lockdown on Boxing Day, we want to remind patients that the lockdown will NOT affect the provision of health care services including dentistry and dental hygiene services. With the pandemic crisis well underway, we are all reminded of the essential role that food banks play in our communities. We are so excited to support Pelham Care's Annual Food Drive to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. We will be accepting items starting today until December 5th. The drop off bin is located at the entrance on the first floor. We ask you not to bring items upstairs; simply put them in the bin on your way up to the appointment. Dental X-rays (radiographs) are images of your teeth that we use to evaluate your oral health. These X-rays are used with low levels of radiation to capture images of the interior of your teeth and gums. X-rays are patient specific and ordered by the dentist. If a patient had few or no fillings, x-rays may be indicated only 18-24 months. On the other hand, if a patient has several filled teeth, missing teeth and diet high in sugar - x-rays are indicated 12-18 months. Betwe...en visits, if a problem or accident occurs, an x-ray may be needed even if you had them taken recently. We can not see new issues on old x-rays. Certain medical conditions or testing could defer your x-rays into the future-please advise your dental professional of any recent medical changes. We have upgraded to digital dental x-rays!! - less radiation, immediate viewing, environmentally friendly and better visualization leading to better diagnostic capability. We are so proud to offer the latest in dental technology! In addition, Dr. Hrynyk and team have intraoral cameras which enables us to capture images of difficult to see areas in the mouth.
