If you are in Canada’s capital during lockdown you can still go outside and do essential exercise for your mental and physical health. Here is a great resource: https://bushtukah.wordpress.com//groomed-trails-for-nord/

I am seeing this experience in so many of the physicians and frontline healthcare workers i see: How can they call us essential then treat us like we are disposable? https://www.statnews.com//beyond-burnout-health-care-work/
Too often our psychological@suffering is perpetuated by a misconception of who we really are. In contextual behavioural science or in third wave CBT we talk about an aspect of psychological flexibility that is termed self as context. When we understand ourselves as part of a flow of dynamic processes that are not different from the processes of life in the rest of the living world we begin to see that our experiences are not only ours, but just part of a larger flow of not just humanity but the lives of all beings. When we realize self as context we realize we are intimately connected with the lives of all things, and we are never alone. #interneing #selfascontext #ecopsychology #ecodharma
I love teaching and practicing cultivation of the quality of mindfulness in mind and body. Today is Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy group day. Today in group we will be talking about negativity spirals. I always add in the work of a few researchers I find interesting into the MBCT curriculum. Today I will mention the work of Barbara Fredrickson, on positive vs. negative spirals in thinking.
