Although we are living through uncertain and stressful times, one of the positives that has come out of this trying time for me personally has been the ability to reflect on my future and the future of my practice. This year my practice like many in the health sector has had to adapt, not only to p...ublic health measures, but also with respect to patient care. Prior to the pandemic, virtual telemedicine was non-existent in my practice. I have since adopted a virtual health service model which I intend to keep moving forward for all existing and future patients. Additionally, I have been fortunate enough to expand my scope of practice to include the specialized niche of Intravenous Vitamin Infusion Therapy. I have therefore made the difficult decision to consolidate my practice and operate solely out of my South Windsor office of Lifetime Wellness Centre within the new year with my last clinical day at Loaring Physiotherapy & Health Centre being: Wednesday December 23rd 2020 Please note I am committed to continuing naturopathic medical care to all patients in all capacities going forward, both virtually and in office. I have learned so much from the team at Loaring Physiotherapy & Health Centre. I have nothing but the upmost respect for each member and am so grateful I was able to work with such a wonderful and professional group of people. I am very excited to announce that I will be offering in-office naturopathic care at both Lifetime Wellness Centre and Loaring Physiotherapy and Health Centre as of this week, starting Tuesday June 2nd, 2020. Please note, telemedicine visits are still available and encouraged. Injection therapy, acupuncture and intravenous vitamin infusion therapy are all permitted in office at this time by appointment only. Your safety and the safety of our community comes first. Both offic...es have implemented health and safety procedures I am asking all patients be aware of and comply with: 1. Patients will undergo a screening process at time of booking as well as immediately prior to their scheduled appointment 2. Face masks are required to be worn by all patients and service providers 3. Plexiglass barrier protection at reception have been installed 4. Removal of high touch items such as magazines, hangers, excess chairs etc. 5. Regular cleaning of high touch surfaces before and after each patient interaction 6. Arrive for appointment at scheduled time. Please do not arrive early. Upon arrival, you will be met in reception lobby 7. Only patients for which the appointment is scheduled for are permitted to enter the facility unless another member is deemed essential for the visit 8. Upon entering and exiting the facility, please sanitize hands 9. Patients and all clinic staff will comply with physical distancing guidelines as able 10. Wishing all my Canadian family and friends a happy Victoria Day (wishing the weather was sunny right now but this picture makes me think of beautiful spring days)

Today I want to take a moment to recognize the healthcare hero’s who have been working through this pandemic to help keep our community safe. It takes a very special person to do the jobs that nurses do. The amount of selflessness, sense of duty and compassion they have for people especially during this time has brought tears to my eyes many times. I want to give a special shout out to my favourite nurse, my husband. Never once has his dedication to his job been shaken during these past 8 weeks. He has not shown fear going into work, but courage. He has never once complained about having to wear a mask even if his face had painful marks. I am so proud my favourite nurse and all the nurses in our community for all they do and setting an example of what it means to be brave, fearless and strong! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
