Dear Valued Patients We are in the midst of a fragile situation and our actions over the next short period of time will determine the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic in our country. We have made the decision to CLOSE our dental office for anything except emergency treatment for the next 2 weeks (Monday March 16th to Friday March 27th). If you are in an emergency situation, we will of course be ready and willing to treat you to alleviate your pain please do NOT visit the... hospital for dental pain. There are many factors that have gone into our decision. We deeply care about the health of our patients (you) and our dedicated team. Our country is at a tipping point and SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY must currently govern all of our actions. The risk of waiting too long (even 1 day) will be CATASTROPHIC. Our healthcare system will be crippled if the COVID-19 virus continues to spread at the current rate. We encourage you to stay home, wash your hands often, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and FLOSS!!

The best solution for missing teeth is not the same for every person and usually depends on a variety of factors. Finding the best solution for your missing teeth will require a thorough evaluation. Dental implants are the strongest and most reliable tooth replacement option. Because they are inserted directly into the jaw, dental implants are able to replace the roots of missing teeth. Why is it important? Tooth roots serve several important functions - one of them... is indicating to your body where bone is needed in the jaw. When a tooth is lost, so is its root, leading to jaw shrinkage and collapse. Dental implants not only continue to send signals to the body that bone is needed in certain parts of the jaw, they actually integrate into your jawbone. Once accepted by the jaw, dental implants will stay in place without the help of glue and without reliance on healthy adjacent teeth. 2 If more than one tooth is missing in an arch, a dental bridge may be a good option. It can be attached to dental crowns placed over adjacent teeth or to crowns placed over implants. Bridges can be used for a single tooth as well. Dental bridges are fixed, so you do not need to take them out to care for them. They are also able to restore strength, function, and beauty to smiles affected by missing teeth. As dental bridges do not replace all missing tooth roots, they will not be able to prevent changes to the jaw and will need to be adjusted as the bone narrows and shrinks over time. 3 When an arch or larger row of teeth is missing, dentures may work best. Dentures that are supported by implants often have clip or ball-and-socket attachments, allowing them to be removed for easy cleaning. While easy to remove, implant-supported dentures are stronger and more reliable than those held in place with glue, and are better able to restore uninterrupted biting, chewing, and speaking abilities. They say going to a dentist is not a walk in the park, but we like to do whatever we can to make your visit as comfortable as possible. One of the great ways to cope with dental anxiety is listening to your favorite music. Not only can it help with minimizing the noises around you, but it can also put you in a good mood and alleviate tensions associated with your procedure. What do you like listening to at your dental appointment? Is it something relaxing and soothing, or more upbeat? Or do you prefer to multitask and use this time to catch up on your favorite podcasts?
