Vision and posture. May is vision heath month and this year we are focusing on computer vision syndrome since so many people are working remotely at the computer. Vision and posture is a part of that because vision determines posture. You might experience neck, back and shoulder pain related to bad posture at the computer, which is often caused by poor computer vision. https://perspectiveoptometry.ca//2020/05/10/how-to-fix-po/
A mother’s love is the purest form of love on earth. Happy Mother's Day from Perspective Optometry!
Lots of people are discovering the unpleasantness of Computer Vision Syndrome right now thanks to computer-based remote working during the pandemic. Check out this animated video we made on Computer Vision Syndrome! For more information, check out our webpage on computer vision syndrome: https://www.perspectiveoptometry.ca/computer-vision-syndrom
It's been 11 years since I appeared in this public service video produced by the BC Association of Optometrists. How time files and so many things have changed since then. But the message is as relevant today as it was a decade ago. - Dr. Mini Randhawa
Okay, so we admit that we are not big enough to have our own delivery truck. Just having some fun with Photoshop to to promote our free shipping offer. https://shop.perspectiveoptometry.ca/ Special thanks to Obi Onyeador on https://unsplash.com/ for supplying the photo we used. If you have not heard of it, Unsplash is one of the best places on the web to get free stock photos. The quality of the photography is outstanding. Great for local businesses and others.
Few things are more appropriate for spring-time self-isolation than #springcleaning! Always practice caution when using cleaning products and chemicals. Point nozzles away from you to minimize the risk of getting an unwanted substance in your eye. And if you do get something in your eye and are concerned about it, call us. Staff are answering the phones to triage patients and facilitate product pick-up and delivery. We are seeing emergency patients in the office. We can see non-emergencies through a secure medical video appointment platform. #EyeCare
We are excited to announce the launch of our online store! And we are offering FREE SHIPPING on ALL ORDERS until June 30, 2020. Right now you can order contact lenses and dry eye products - with more to come. For our patients, this is ultra-convenient. We already have your lens prescription on file so you don't need to spend time entering those details in the online store! https://shop.perspectiveoptometry.ca/
Some patients have asked us about contact lens wear during COVID-19. Here is our blog post which answers the question. https://perspectiveoptometry.ca//contact-lens-wear-during/

Meet Mr. Presbyopia. Like most people who get presbyopia, he is in his early 40's, though his stressful job makes him look older. He went to his optometrist when he discovered he had trouble reading and was experiencing eye strain and headaches. His presbyopia has been corrected with multi-focal contact lenses that he wears to the office. But at home, he prefers his more comfortable frames fitted with progressive lenses. He loves seeing clearly so much that he altered his wardrobe. Can you tell how? Having fun with Photoshop
