Consuming more veggies and fruits is a delicious way to bring down inflammation - which we know is the root cause of so many forms of chronic disease. Here the top 5 sources (Pomegranate is one of my personal favourites)

Maintaining a vitamin D level over 70 is one of the best ways to keep your body fortified. If you are unsure of your levels, ask your MD or ND to run the blood test...it's quick and inexpensive (around $40) A recent study in JAMA (Journal of American Medical Association, Sept 3, 2020) concluded that a low Vitamin D status of < 20ng/ml resulted in a 2-fold increase in contracting the C-19 virus. An optimal level is greater than 70ng/dl which is certainly achievable if you log some time outdoors. So....get outside for 30 min in sunshine without sunscreen and soak up those rays. In late fall and winter if your levels start to dip you can take a vitamin D supplement. https://jamanetwork.com//jamanetworkop/fullarticle/2770157

Before you read the article can you guess which time period is most important and valuable for a great night’s sleep?

I am a big fan of natural cleaning products because the last thing you want to be breathing in are toxins in any form...especially in your own home. I tend to buy Seventh Generation & JR Watkins because they do the job and I like supporting *clean* brands. This is for all the DIY'ers (hats off to you)...You may want to keep these rules of thumb in mind.

Further proof that consuming organic produce (whenever possible) is the way to go.

I've been very selective about sources of information on COVID-19 as I've personally reached the saturation point. However, this video from a respirologist at Weill Cornell Hospital in NYC is excellent and worth sharing. Cornell is now a Covid-19 only hospital so they are amassing incredible data about this virus. I came away feeling better about everything and with a much clearer idea of transmission + prevention. Here are the stats this doctor on the front lines is repo...rting: 90% of people are sent home to recover 10% are admitted Of those 10%: 1-3% are in ICU intubated. The majority that are intubated are later extubated and recover fully barring any other unforeseen medical issues (secondary infections etc.) https://vimeo.com/399733860 See more

In my opinion, a lot of what our immune system requires to do its job efficiently and effectively, is within our control. What you eat and drink, how you spend your time, whether you exercise, what your mindset is like, the amount of sleep you get, and whether you are sufficiently hydrated all influence your immune function. Following are the ways in which I keep my immune system strong. I hope this is helpful.

This is a great chart that breaks things down re the do’s/don’ts of social distancing. I have to believe we all share the same goal: to be safe and healthy and return to a sense of normalcy as soon as possible and prevent any further economic decline. Please stay home. There is no need to put vulnerable groups at risk. Do the right thing for the sake of your community.
