Has anyone ever heard about the "Doctrine of Signatures for Food"? The shape of the food, the weight of the food, the texture of the food, the size of the food all tells you of its health giving qualities. I have been studying the importance of food colors for quite some time and the more I learn about the benefits of the color pigments the more amazed and perplexed I become. Choosing foods based on their color to combat different health ailments has been known and practiced by all great herbalist and dietitians around the world for hundreds of years. Have a look at this site for more information. It may seem like an odd concept at first, but science is proving it to be more accurate than you would think it to be.

At least once or twice a week someone will ask me where I get my essential oil blends. They are blended by a company in Oregon by called Essential Three. They sell their blends either retail or wholesale, I have been using their blends for the past five to six years and with out a doubt they are second to none. In my opinion they are the best quality essential oils on the market. After I received my Clinical Aromatherapy Diploma I began blending my own blends and sourcing fro...m reputable distillers from around the globe. I soon realized it was a far greater and more expensive endeavor then I had anticipated. I meet Caryn (the owner of Essential Three) about five years ago at an Essential Oil Symposium where the top Master Aromatherapists and Distillers from around the world where offering not only there products but some of the best aromatherapy education that there is. Her company comes highly recommended by some of the world's most educated and experienced Aromatherapists/scientists. I have never looked back. If you would prefer to purchase their essential oils directly from them I have included a link to their web site. Check them out, I guarantee you will love all of their products. See more

Sometimes the simplest of foods are the ones most often overlooked. This small but mighty seed is a powerhouse of essential nutrients. It is known to help improve cardiovascular health and fight inflammation. It is widely used to help support thyroid function, the reason it works so well is because the sunflower seed is packed full of selenium and both hyper and hypothyroidism may be the result of a selenium deficiency. Add sunflower seeds to your salads everyday or just grab a hand full and enjoy a healthy snack. For more info on the benefits of this lowly seed check out this article by David Wolfe.
