People might not realize this but it is exactly what happens to every Optometrist everytime we see OHIP patients. It’s worse when we do urgent care. We won’t turn away OHIP patients and we don’t provide sub-par care because of this government created issue. Please tell your MPP that Eye Care is important by visiting SaveEyeCare.ca or signing the petition at our office at your next scheduled visit.

Please continue to help make the government aware that eye care is an important part of healthcare. We continue to assess each referral or patient request and make recommendations in the patients best interest only. Feel free to call the office to discuss any eye related issues. We continue to monitor and will only refer to offices and ER/urgent care centre that we believe are safe alternatives for the level of care necessary. Current wait times at our office are 6-8 weeks for appointments due to COVID restrictions.
