Join the Very 1st Guided Fasting Mimicking Diet (FMD) Reset! Sign up for a three week guided introduction to fasting & healthy eating starting this January 17th 2021! The cost for this session is $99 & includes access to a private Facebook group, three Facebook live educational sessions that will be recorded, & handouts complete with everything you'll need to succeed. ... The goal is to prepare you to complete 3-5 days of the Fasting Mimicking Diet & provide a like-minded community to connect with throughout your journey. We will discuss intermittent fasting, healthy anti inflammatory diet plans, and the FMD. The fasting mimicking diet FMD is a very short lower calorie, high fat, alternative to water fasting that allows you to eat & be nourished while still achieving the benefits of a full on fast! The Facebook group & the Facebook live sessions will be led by myself, Dr. Tara. I will be doing the reset along with everyone & will be actively moderating our group throughout the 3 week journey. Send me a DM if you’re interested. I will make sure this group is appropriate for you and your health concerns before we officially sign you up! #FMD #fasting #intermittentfasting #resetyourmind #resetyourbody #healthycommunity #functionalmedicine #naturopathicmedicine

To all my valued patients, I am so pleased to announce that I am once again available for appointments, both virtually and in person for naturopathic visits. After many months away from practice I am so very excited to jump back into helping you achieve your optimal health. A few items to note:... -As per health guidelines, if an in person visit is not crucial, I will be conducting phone and video consults -IV and injection visits will only be occurring Wednesdays for the time being with my associate Dr Sarah Park ND -We will only have one patient in the office with me at one time, we will call you and unlock the clinic doors at the time of your appointment -We ask that all patients entering the clinic bring their own mask with them -We have implemented all of the recommended health authority guidelines to keep our clinic safe and sanitized for all I have a long waiting list to contact and book in, please be patient as I work through this and feel free to email me again for an appointment just in case -Supplement sales have for the most part gone online, or are picked up through our physically distanced process, please email the clinic with your orders In other news, there are TWO new Registered Massaged Therapists starting at the clinic this month. Stay tuned for more details! Lastly, I hope you have all fared well throughout this pandemic despite the difficulties it presented for many of us. Times like these present us with an opportunity to test our resilience that's for sure. As Ryan Holiday quotes "The obstacle in the path becomes the path. Never forget, within every obstacle, is an opportunity to improve our condition. The obstacle is the way". Yours in health, Dr. Tara Lapointe ND

To continue providing for my patients in a way that keeps us all safe and in line with social distancing I have transitioned all my visits to telemedicine (phone or video visits). I'm here for you, whether it's to keep up with the healthy changes we've started making together, or if you need to shift your support to more acute needs, in particular, addressing the added stress many of us are tackling given the extraordinary times we are all facing. I will continue to offer di...stance visits to existing patients, but am also accepting new patients. If you have extended health care benefits that cover naturopathic medicine, these visits will be covered as usual. I will not be offering in house services such as IV therapy, injection therapy, or acupuncture as this puts us all at risk of spreading this virus, and hinders efforts to dampen the curve. We will be contacting all patients to rebook these treatments once the covid situation settles down. I will still be taking supplement orders through my online store, and from the clinic itself. Orders can be made by contacting the clinic with your requests. Supplements will either be left out in a secured area for pickup or shipped to your door if ordered through the online store. If you have an upcoming visit, you will receive an email with more information on how to get set up for a video or phone consult. Of course, if you need to cancel or make any changes to your visits please do contact us at 902.469-0622 or by email at [email protected]. Remember to be kind to one another, but most of all be kind to yourself. We will get through this together, with a healthy amount of social distancing in between ;) Warmly, Dr. Tara <3

Have you heard of the backwards law popularized by Allan Watts?. . . Well, it postulates that wanting a positive experience is actually a negative experience, but accepting a negative experience is in fact a positive experience. Yeah go ahead and read that again . .... . How could jumping into freezing water be any bit enjoyable? Perhaps it has something to do with acceptance of discomfort which leads to satisfaction, which is ultimately enjoyable!. . . What is something in your life that you find negative, or a bit scary? For many it’s as basic as getting out of bed in the morning and facing the world. It’s scary leaving the comfort of our own cocoon, but at the same time we need to challenge ourselves to make tiny steps to confront what we perceive as negative in order to feel something positive. . . The more we pursue feeling comfortable the less satisfied we become. Basically the avoidance of suffering is suffering. . . Failures & pain & suffering allow us an opportunity to build confidence & resilience & courage. . . ~All the positive vibes for the year ahead~ by @aquabuoy at the 2020 @herringcovepolarbeardip . . by a reading in the book the subtle art of not giving a fuck by Marc Manson @ Herring Cove, Halifax, Nova Scotia See more
