How did you spend your #labourdayweekend? My brother treated all the women in my family (and their children) to a weekend at @TempleGardensHotel and Spa in Moose Jaw, SK. The geothermal waters melted the stress right out of my body. Plus the naturally occurring magnesium sulphate (aka. epsom salt) and other minerals in the water were perfect for helping my body detox from the radiation from my flight home. (FYI - because we are so north, flights across Canada have some of the highest radiation exposure... that must be why my mother prefers to fly south ) Plus, the kids loved being in the pool... and then they slept like rocks - which all the adults loved!

A great read for anyone living with infertility. Remember you are not broken and you have the time to deal with all the ups and downs - take it! http://ow.ly/jiHT50vxPGy

Infertility is a marathon of a journey. And just like any good road trip, it's nice to have someone along for the ride. Unfortunately, when you are trying to conceive, too often you feel alone in the struggle and feel that you can't talk about it... especially NOT when you are in the middle of it. Anne Hathaway just revealed that she is pregnant with her second child - and opened up about some of her challenges conceiving: "for everyone going through infertility and conce...ption hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies." Never forget - you are not alone out there. (random side note: I was told this past week that I looked like Anne Hathaway. I totally agree... if she had blue eyes - or I had red carpet looks! ) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0T0qLHFWbR/?utm_source=ig_embed

Feeling CRAZY stressed?! Here are my fav ways to destress (that don't involve eating)... Too often we self-soothe with foods that make us feel like we are doing something good for ourselves in the moment, but ultimately, leads us further from our goal. To help you create your own go-to list, here are my top 5 tried-and-true #stressrelieving tips that help me reset and relax. 5. Laugh. My go-to is @theellenshow or @ellentube - she is full of goodhearted fun you can't help bu...t laugh! In 10 minutes or less, I am feeling more positive, energized and back on track. I mean look at what she's faced and she continues to make millions of people laugh. (Maybe one day I'll be on her show... in the crowd! ) 4. Play me a song. Depending on how I am feeling, I will either blast my favourite tunes or meditate to soft soundscapes. I use @calm - it's where I started and even after trying new apps, I keep coming back for more. 3. Go for a walk. I am lucky to have green space right behind my home (but even when I didn't), a walk around the block always helps me process all the thoughts in my head and figure out my next steps (get it?! ) . 2. Read positive affirmations or inspiring quotes. When I find one that I really like, I write it on a paint chip (such beautiful colours) and put them EVERYWHERE. I love that it's a simple, but creative option. Then I can write it down on my to-do list and check it off. Sense of accomplishment and uplifted - it's a win-win! 1. Call a friend. Okay, actually my first call is likely to my parents... but the concept is the same! Just talking to someone that supports you, wants the best for you, or at the very least will take your mind off your own worries, is the number one remedy for me. Give these a try and tell me what you like. Or better yet, share what you do to destress.

As women, is there ever a "RIGHT" age to conceive?! When our fertility is at its peak (early 20s), we are "too young" to have a baby. Then when we have our ducks in a row (say, mid-to-late 30s...ish), we are told we're "too old". Are we being greedy to want both a career and a baby?! No. I think we can have our cake and eat it too. And I'm going to help you do it! (Zucchini spice cake counts, right?) More and more women are delaying having kids as they focus on school or car...eers or finding a life partner or so many other things, before getting started on a family. And yes, your #fertility does start to decline after age 30. But the good news is that there are many things you can do to help preserve your fertility. I can help you keep your eggs "young", hormones balanced and make the RIGHT choices for your fertility.

Want to 4X your #sperm?! A new study has found that men who were tucked in BEFORE 10:30PM were 4X more likely to have good quality sperm. Going to bed after 11:30PM was associated with the poorest quality of sperm. Plus, men who got 8 hours of sleep a night were also more likely to have healthy sperm than those who only got seven hours. Going to bed early would also, you know, create an opportunity for other activities that would further increase your chances! ... So, put your phone away and no Netflix tonight! http://ow.ly/8CJL50uVSB3

Feeling stressed this summer? Try forest bathing... or shinrin-yoku-ing (if you are as excellent with languages as I am!) Translated from the Japanese term "shinrin-yoku", forest bathing calms the mind as you immerse yourself in trees, the sunlight playing through their branches and the smell fresh clean air and leaves. Who doesn't want a calmer mind?! Or in other words, to be calm, collected and clear-thinking? This is what happens when we clear the clutter from our brains ...with a little #mindfulness. Escape the summer heat this weekend and experience the healing benefits of nature at the same time. I always feel so restored after a long hike on a quiet trail. And even if you don't consider yourself the "outdoorsy" type, there are a number of trails within city limits where you can tap into this revitalizing energy. Have I convinced you yet?! Grab a friend, some water and get out there!

HAPPY CANADA DAY I’ve been coast to coast across this wonderful country. I have had amazing experiences in every province... and can’t wait to discover more! But no matter where I go, the prairies will always be my home. But what I love most about #CanadaDay is getting together with friends and family. Nothing makes you feel more at home than being surrounded by loved ones. ... . . . . #familytime #prairiegirl #smalltowngirl #proudtobecanadian See more

One of my favourite parts of #pridemonth is the feeling that it's okay to truly be who you are and to fearlessly go after your goals. Every time I work with LGBT couples going through IVF or #surrogacy, I feel honoured to be a part of their #IVFjourney. Starting a family can be challenging, but these couples are tough and realize that #allweneedislove... and a little luck! Happy Pride 2019!

Happy 1st day of Summer! The summer solstice is here and could be your best day for romance this year. Derived from the Latin words sol ("sun") and sister ("to stand still"), this day has long been associated with love, sexuality and #fertility. Traditionally there was much #babymaking on the solstice... but the day isn't only for couples. It is also a magical time for singles hoping to meet "the one". So grab your girlfriends or your partner (or both), and celebrate luck, feminine power and love.
