This might apply to you if: 1. You are inside Canada, out of status and your status expired more than 90 days ago 2. You applied for restoration and want to work while waiting for a decision. ... IRCC introduces an exemption from the requirement to apply for restoration within 90 days of losing temporary resident status for all foreign nationals (former workers, students and visitors) in Canada. IRCC introduces public policy that allows former work permit holders with job offers to work while their restoration and work permit applications are being processed. If approved under this public policy, applicants may be authorized to start their employment while they await a decision on their restoration and work permit applications. You can contact us at [email protected] if you require a consultation.

Shortly after N.B. announced TFW's were ban from entering N.B., I was interviewed by the media and I predicted exceptions would be announced. Stay tuned, it sounds like Premier Higgs will be announcing exceptions soon. Nicole E. Druckman P.C. Inc. has been assisting TFW's come to Canada to fill jobs for over a decade and we also assist employers apply to bring TFW's to Canada. Employers prefer hiring Canadians but Canadians are not interested or physically able to do certain jobs. Finding ways to create jobs that the unemployed are willing and able to do and creating jobs that will keep our youth at home or bring them back is where we should be focusing our time and energy.

Our Premier makes hard decisions but it’s refreshing to see he also listens to the people. Looking forward to seeing the official changes to the ban.

News release Temporary rule change aimed at helping health-care facilities, other workplaces under pressure April 22, 2020OttawaTo help battle the COVID-19 outbreak, starting immediately, the government will remove the restriction that allows international students to work a maximum of 20 hours per week while classes are in session, provided they are working in an essential service or function, such as health care, critical infrastructure, or the supply of food or other cri...tical goods. During the COVID-19 outbreak, workers in certain roles and industries have been under considerable pressure, and the government recognizes that international students who are already present in Canada will help meet the challenges of the pandemic. For instance, thousands of international students are studying in health- and emergency service-related programs, including many who are nearly fully trained and ready to graduate. This temporary rule change provides health-care facilities with access to additional well-trained workers at a time when they are badly needed. See more

It has been a busy week at the office. We are pleased to finally be able to meet clients virtually for most matters as we have done for years with immigration files. We want to thank our clients for being so flexible and helpful. We are hopeful that the Law Society will see the benefits and agree to implement virtual signing permanently recognizing the value it brings to all parties involved. It is much more efficient once you create a proper system. We also hope Real Estate lawyers in New Brunswick will soon be able to avoid in person closings similar to what they do in other jurisdictions ie. Ontario. This is the time to modernize our dated system that has not evolved with the times. We are excited for the new way of doing business.
