Remember, Its your car, its your choice! As the owner of a motor vehicle damaged in an accident, you have the right to choose the shop where you wish to have ...your vehicle repaired. Insurance companys will sometimes recommend or indicate that you should take your vehicle to a shop they are affiliated with, however regardless who you are insured with, ultimately its your choice where your car is repaired. Select a repair facility that you feel comfortable with, then notify your agent or insurance company, or ask the shop to make the call on your behalf. Winter driving tip: With the tremendous amount of snow and high winds we have been experiencing many people are finding themselves stuck in the snow. Here are a few safety tips to remember; *Check the exhaust system for leaks. A properly sealed exhaust system reduces the risk for carbon monoxide poisoning. *Keep the window in your vehicle slightly open when youre stuck in snow, and run the engine and heater to keep warm. *Keep the exhaust pipe clear of snow. A blocked pipe... can force carbon monoxide back into the car interior. Here is a neat trick for when you are stuck! Pull out your car mats and use them to get traction under your tires!

A winter driving tip: Before you take off in cold weather, start your car and let it warm up for a minute to allow the oil to flow. This will ease wear on your engine and other mechanical components.

The single most important purchase you can make to ensure safe driving this winter is a good set of winter tires. Snow flakes are coming! Drive Safe!
