Remember, Its your car, its your choice! As the owner of a motor vehicle damaged in an accident, you have the right to choose the shop where you wish to have ...your vehicle repaired. Insurance companys will sometimes recommend or indicate that you should take your vehicle to a shop they are affiliated with, however regardless who you are insured with, ultimately its your choice where your car is repaired. Select a repair facility that you feel comfortable with, then notify your agent or insurance company, or ask the shop to make the call on your behalf. Your insurance adjuster may have to inspect the damage. This can be done at the shop you have chosen. When choosing a repair facility ensure it is a Qualified Collision and Refinish Repair Shop. Look for signs that indicate repair technician training and certification. Also, make sure the shop you choose: * Maintains a reliable, professional reputation; * Is properly equipped and organized to meet todays more technical repairing needs; * Maintains specialized equipment and systems at peak performance and; * Have trained and certified staff. If you feel comfortable with the shop and its people, chances are youll be satisfied with the work.

Winter driving tip: With the tremendous amount of snow and high winds we have been experiencing many people are finding themselves stuck in the snow. Here are a few safety tips to remember; *Check the exhaust system for leaks. A properly sealed exhaust system reduces the risk for carbon monoxide poisoning. *Keep the window in your vehicle slightly open when youre stuck in snow, and run the engine and heater to keep warm. *Keep the exhaust pipe clear of snow. A blocked pipe... can force carbon monoxide back into the car interior. Here is a neat trick for when you are stuck! Pull out your car mats and use them to get traction under your tires!

A winter driving tip: Before you take off in cold weather, start your car and let it warm up for a minute to allow the oil to flow. This will ease wear on your engine and other mechanical components.
