A statement on Behalf of Northern Ontario Public Libraries The undersigned libraries issued the following statement on May 9, 2019 regarding cuts to the operating budget of Ontario Library Service-North. April 24, 2019 MEDIA RELEASE Unsolved Break & Enters, Thefts and Mischiefs... TLC Automotive, located on Government Street, has reported that several windows of three vehicles had been smashed sometime between April 17th and April 22, 2019. On April 18, 2019, a break and enter was reported at the Dryden Agricultural Fair Grounds located on Wice Road. The Corn Booth on that property was entered by smashing a window. Also entered was the Announcers Booth where suspects kicked in the door. Property inside the buildings was also damaged. On April 19, 2019, a break and enter was reported at the old Cinema 86 building on Queen Street where the glass in the front door was smashed and plywood removed. It does not appear that anything was damaged or taken from inside of the building. On April 20, 2019, Dryden Police Service received a report of a stolen boat and motor from an Albert Street residence. Stolen was an 18 foot Lund boat with a 1985 85hp Yamaha motor. It is still unclear as to when the theft occurred. On April 23, 2019, Suntrac Contracting reported the theft of fuel and fuel tanks from their property located on Kennedy Road sometime between April 18 and April 23, 2019 Anyone with information in regards to these crimes, is asked to call the Dryden Police Service at 807-223-1137 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
