Dryland Custom Fabrication 07.11.2020

Sometimes my brain is like make this now and so I did, the outcome was this neat little 3 piece Christmas set. It’s meant to be displayed as such, just kinda changing it up over here anyway, all freehand plasma by yours truly! Thank you for looking, I hope you enjoy it! #drylandcustomfabrication #freehandplasma #christmasart

A lovely little freehand floral shovel...I do love a good shovel. This is a special shovel, for a special someone and that’s all I have to say about that. #drylandcustomfabrication #freehand #plasma #art

‘Tis the season...already. It seems like it was September just a blink ago. I figured I might try my hand at a little seasonal design; decorating always seems to make things feel a bit better. I know this holiday season won’t be ideal for many of us, but I’m hoping for the best either way. I hope you enjoy it! I’m still not super good at this computer design stuff but learning it has been fun! To me this looks like it smells like cinnamon and I like it! #drylandcustomfabrication

Second part of this commission; the next generation has taken over the homestead so it was time to update the yard/laneway sign. The original had a cowboy with a single cow and a lovely sunset. The goal was to keep it the same but update it, and I think I did an ok job of that. Every cowboy needs a cow/calf pair! Cant have the mamas without some babies. All handcut on the sassiest metal a hood was ever made out of, this piece was about as unruly as a red heifer in a round pen. It was really fun to do though and I am so thankful for the trust and the creative freedom. Thank you for looking. #drylandcustomfabrication #freehandplasma #weldart

Some plasma on the hood

A little real-time video of some plasma cutting for the @broxburnandcafe sign. This cabbage was incredibly fun to cut. As usual, no guide or guard used, no drag tip. This whole project I used a regular tip and shield instead of a fine, I find they just last longer on thicker cuts. #drylandcustomfabrication #freehand #freehandplasma #custom

And onto the next one! This is another piece I was very excited about. It’s part of a commission of 3 pieces total; what makes this order extra special is that it’s going to someone I’ve know my whole life.... literally, from before Kindergarten to ABBA in the living room, to high school and beyond.... This one was super fun to design and I’m very pleased with how it turned out. Its completely freehand cut by yours truly. It’s destined to be a lovely piece of garden art on a very beautiful farm. #drylandcustomfabrication #freehandplasma #weldart
