Do you love a BIG RED? Meet Bordertown’s Living Desert Red, our signature blend. The blend showcases the hot, sunny South Okanagan with the classic Bordeaux tr...io of grapes and Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Various lots were aged separately in a combination of new and seasoned french oak barrels. Living Desert Red has a deep garnet colour and showcases aromas and flavours of red and black fruits, dark chocolate, sandalwood, and the wild herbs that grow amongst the South Okanagan vineyards. This is a blend of 61% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot. Each varietal was aged separately in French oak prior to blending. Aromas of sweet berries blueberries, blackberries and black cherries mingled with cassis jump from the glass. Those fruits are echoed on the palate, subtly framed by oak. So nice to work with Daniel Seifried of DS90 Media on a really fun website project. The latest website design is now live! DS Media built this website for Sunv...iew Market located in Oliver, BC. For me, it was really great to have an opportunity to create the website content to bring this Dhaliwal Sunview market to life. Daniel and I worked with the amazing staff at Sunview Market in putting together this new digital storefront! I think the biggest challenge to a farm to market website is finding the right amount of information, balancing visitor (local residents and tourist) needs with content needed for broader growth and marketing goals. Visitors need quick answers to common requests (hours, location, and seasonal products). We had a big opportunity to take advantage of trends to educate potential customers and encourage the consumption of fresh BC local fruits and vegetables and encourage people to #BuyLocal. To differentiate Dhaliwal Sunview Market, the sunshine, the fresh local produce and artisanal goods, the local community feel needed to shine. We also wanted to showcase the Dhaliwal familys farming history heritage in Oliver, BC. Sunview Markets website gives the Dhaliwal family an opportunity to share photographs and videos that show the preparation of recipes that incorporate fresh BC fruits and vegetables.
