In 2015, the British Columbia Aboriginal Net...work on Disability Society (BCANDS) declared November to be Indigenous Disability Awareness Month (IDAM). Every November since then, IDAM brings awareness of the barriers and issues that Indigenous peoples and their families living with disabilities face every day.
