Dual Arts Fusion 31.01.2021

It always amazes me what emotions and subjects trigger my weird grey cells and it such fun to be inspired! This painting was inspired by my friend Ross who didn't want a party to celebrate his 60th. I started drawing the dog and thought about what a party pooper Ross was and this was the end result, lol!

Hello everyone, Dual Arts Fusion is proving to take a bit longer than what we thought. Working between 2 countries and also combining our art into one is a lengthy process but stay tuned! In the interim, I have a new series coming out soon called "You name it" You get to name the painting and the price for some personal and special works that have just taken my fancy to paint. Here is a sample, if you have any name suggestions please feel free to make comments. You can see the new series in a few weeks at www.leeporter.com.au

Did you know....everyone is an artist! When you sign your name, this is a form of art that is totally unique to you. No one else has your signature and there are specialist out there to detect forgeries the same as in a painting. I tell my student that "mark making" is what will define you as a unique artist. So if you can sign your name you are an artist!!!

And likewise Manitoba people. What would you like to see me take photos of to represent Manitoba. Lee will add in representations of Australia and we are going to fuse the two mediums as well as the two countries. Comparisons? Differences? Give me some ideas so I can get out and shoot!

To all the Aussie's following us on FB.....Welcome! This is going to be an exciting year as Sherrianne and I FUSE our work together! The work raffled in 2015 was a huge success with Sherrianne's photo of Moffatdale Ridge Winery and me adding in the Roo's at the front, clinking wine glasses. Once Sherrianne and I agree on an image (photo) that Sherrianne has taken, then it is up to me to have some fun and add an Australian interpretation. What would you like to see to rep...resent Australia in this combined fusion of work? Don't be shy and add your voice! I will be conducting questionnaires and asking questions for the public to 'have a say' as I collect research material for my Masters/PhD "Engaging the Public in Visual Arts". I am looking forward to all your comments, Waving Lee
