Happy Friday!! Let's finish up on Tuesday's post and get to the weekend. As mentioned earlier in the week - you should surround yourself with like minded individuals. We all know that. But what we dont often think about is kicking the haters to the curb and cutting off the people that want to tear you down or keep you from progress.... It sucks. Its one of the hardest choices to make in life - cutting off people you love because they are toxic. But it is so worth it. The happiness I experience far outweighs the negativity now that the toxicity is out of my life. I hope you can do the same for yourself in the name of personal development. Love ya!!

Good morning fam!! Today I'm just touching on intergenerational trauma. From wiki: Transgenerational trauma, or intergenerational trauma is a psychological term which asserts that trauma can be transferred in between generations.... For me this trauma manifested as a generational pattern in terms of high school graduation. None of my grandparents graduated, my parents didn't graduate and neither did a number of my relatives. Despite my best efforts, I also dropped out. I knew when I had my son that I was not going to pass this horrible fate to my son. When he began elementary school I knew in my heart that the only way to break the pattern was to lead by example and support him as best I could. I finally graduated in 2015 (19 years after grad) and my son graduated earlier this year. I broke the cycle. And you can too. This week I'm continuing my cross country IG tour - it's not a real tour, I have to be at work everyday - but I am #hashtagging cities across the country in the hopes of getting some new peeps to chat with. Since it's Monday I like to be all about my goals at the beginning of the week I wanted to share my social media goals. 1. I had a fun time putting together today's push because it started as one thing and improvised into another. The first topic was today was supposed to be about life's ups and downs. The struggle is real!! Wait - what struggle? Too many white rappers are pushing conspiracy theories that don't mke any sense and when you trace them to their origins we can see that they are closely tied to white supremacy and QAnon.... These theories hurt and damage black communities. Communities that these rappers are guests in. Hip Hop is black music - if you are taking part in the culture do right by it's people!! Also, when will we understand that when the 99% are united for the common goal of burning our current system down and redistributing wealth to all people, the minority - the 1% - do not stand a chance? Good morning and happy Thanksgiving! I would like to start by saying fuck colonization and the putrid roots of this God awful holiday. Regardless of holiday or religion though, everyday is a day to be thankful so here are a few of the things I am grateful for.... 1. My kid. The light of my life. Isaiah I love you so much and I look forward to you becoming an adult. 2. My girl. My partner. My better half. We've put in over a decade together but I feel like we could be together forever! 3.
