Here are some photos from the toddler program. They show how the classroom setup promotes physical distancing and safety while implementing an emergent curriculum. Each child has the opportunity to participate in individual sensory play which encourages safety. Once they have finished playing with sensory items, the toys and sensory bins are sanitized and the sensory material, whether it be sand, water or other play materials are discarded.
The school-age children were given an opportunity to create art using inspiration from nature and objects they had inside their classroom.

The toddlers explored the changing of the seasons through sensory exploration. They listened to the crunching of the leaves under their feet, they splashed in puddles and watched the ripples move, and they collected leaves to identify all the different colours.
The preschoolers have been looking at incorporating science into their art activities. They investigated how water reacts with chalk. This activity provided them with opportunities for fine motor practice, sensory play and creativity.
