This is one of the ways I stack the house. Trying to keep every stud on top of a joist with everything lining right up. It makes every other trades life so much easier and I feel, a better built house. I don’t pull off the end of a wall for layouts, I use the joint in the floor plywood for where I layout from. 12 hours!!! About 20 of us framed this house in 12 hours with windows and rough in!!! We started by the headlights of my truck at 5am and boosted the shingles up for the roofers at 5pm. Everyone had a task. The task for me and my guy was.. landing, tall wall on landing the front porch. This house was fully completed in 3 days then sold for charity by halimin homes in bowmanville. This was a pretty cool addition down in Toronto. Everything was double lvl and super over kill but thats what the engineer call for. At the end of the day it ended up going together just perfect. 12/12 pitch made it pretty easy to figure out once all the ceiling and facia was on and figured out.
