"Winter Wonderland" - Tracy Falls, Willow Grove, NB My wife and dog Oscar relaxing after a short hike and enjoying the view and sounds of the semi-frozen falls.

When I'm weary of the human centered world (which is far more frequent these days), I take myself down to the sea and stand in the presence of eternal rhythms till I can find my way back to my small, humble, rightful place in the grand scheme of things.

"Intelligently Designed" - Sunset over the Bay of Fundy, Gardner Creek, NB God painting with light again and I was fortunate enough to witness it.

"Sand Castles" - Sheldon Point Trail, Saint John. A panoramic view of the vacant homes of Bank Swallows. Nature is amazing!

It's National Bird Day! Enjoy! Apparently it is also National Whipped Cream Day in case you don't like birds... :)

We are surrounded by miracles. Don't let anyone tell you different.

"Windblown" - Saint John, NB Lupins in the wind near the Irving Nature Park. Another find while editing some old images.

"People Watching" - Broad-winged Hawk, Quispamsis, NB I was heading to do some waterfall photography but as an added bonus this Broad-winged Hawk posed while it was watching all of us drive by. I guess that is fair since it is usually us bird watching.

"Slowpoke" - a little visitor in my yard...

"Seeing Red" - Male northern cardinal, Saint John NB This fella stopped in for a visit to the apple tree in my front yard. He sang me a short song and left. A request for an encore was ignored.

"Stars and Rainbows" - Lorneville, NB I was going for the sun-star but didn't notice the rainbow until I took a closer look while editing this image.

"Manicured Landscape" - Sussex, NB. If you haven't hiked up the Sussex Bluffs I highly recommend. The view is amazing and only a 20 minute hike.

There is still time to enjoy Autumn.

"Balloon Fiesta" -Sussex NB. The real Balloon Fiesta was cancelled this year due to COVID but it didn't stop these 2 balloonists from heading up yesterday. My family was fortunate to be driving to a local hiking trail and stopped to watch for a little bit.

"Bald is Beautiful" - Browns Flat, NB The drive along the St. John River is beautiful in itself but seeing an awesome creature like this eagle is an added bonus.

"Open for Business" - King Square, Saint John NB The final days of a tulip amount its friends. I also just noticed the purple one photobombing in the background. :)

"Out On A Limb" - Kingston Peninsula, NB While out for a drive I spotted this bald eagle in a farmer's field. I never get tired of seeing them.

"Impressionism" - St. Andrews, NB I took my youngest daughter to Kingsbrae Garden about 4 years ago while the rest of my family was out of the province. When I took this photo I didn't have any specific vision but after rediscovering it there is something a bit Monet about the way it turned out.

"Seeking Shade" - Yellow Warbler, Saint John NB 2020 has brought some good despite all the bad. Staying home more has allowed me to enjoy my own front yard. I've spent several days eating lunch on my deck near an apple tree and I've been entertained by many new guest like this little one.

"Amber Evening" - St. Martins, NB The sun reflecting of the beach at low tide and the bay while setting for the evening. God's handiwork on full display.

"Sky Blue" - First Lake, Baxters Corner, NB Silhouette of Lupins and a sunset during an evening drive with my daughter.

"Mysterious" - Hopewell Cape, NB The flowerpots are the main attraction as they should be but there is so much more to see like this archway on the beach. Not quite the slot canyons of Utah but still impressive and much closer to home.

"The Eyes Have It" - Peregrine Falcon, Hopewell Cape, NB I'm not sure what the look says but if I was a small animal I might be worried.

"Learning to Fly" - Peregrine Falcon, Hopewell Cape, NB. My family took a trip to the "Flower Pot Rocks" on Canada Day to walk on the ocean floor at low tide but the Falcons became the main attraction and we heard them before we saw them. This Juvenile Falcon posed for me for quite some time. He was about 50-60 feet above me and the photo was taken with a 100-400mm lens and then was cropped for a closer view.

"Solo Artist" - Red-winged Blackbird, St. George Marsh I have visited the marsh several times but haven't had a blackbird brave enough to approach me until a few weeks ago. I took a side trip with my daughter and her friend and was fortunate to capture this solo act. The trail was closed due to a nesting osprey with young but luckily I didn't need to go much further than the gate to see this.

"Friendship Flower" - Spring in Saint John, NB I recently read that Tulips were first cultivated during the Ottoman Empire (present-day Turkey) and were only imported into Holland in the sixteenth century. In 1945 the Dutch sent 100,000 tulips to Canada to say thank you for liberating the country from Nazi occupation. The Netherlands still send 20,000 tulips each year to Canada.

"Perfect Peace" - Spruce Lake, Saint John NB A night out with my daughters. Beautiful company and beautiful night. Couldn't be any better.

"Paint By Numbers" - Irving Nature Park, NB I'm finding a lot of photos in my files that I didn't really give a thought to originally. All the extra down time at home has been a good thing.

"Sometimes You Feel Like a Nut" - Sussex Bluffs, NB Have you ever ordered something new off the menu and in the end been so disappointed when you finally took a bite? I'm guessing this is how she felt. :)

"Perched" - Blue Jay, Saint John NB My daughter spotted this fella in our apple tree earlier this week. Perhaps Spring is finally here! Sometimes a Blue Jay mimics the calls of hawks, especially the Red-shouldered Hawk which is a good trick if you competing for food.

"Aspirations of Spring" - Saint John, NB I'm hoping that sharing a photo of tulips from Uptown Saint John will bring us closer to spring feeling weather.

"Lapis Lazuli" - Saint John, NB The beach is a favourite spot for my family. One evening my daughters wanted to get out of the house (like most of us lately). We went to a local beach and the low tide and sunset greeted us with this incredible blue. Nothing like a walk on the ocean floor to refresh your mind. The seagulls in the sky was an unexpected addition I only noticed tonight while editing.

"Reserved Seating" - Bald Eagle, St. George, NB A juvenile bald eagle perched and ready to demonstrate its newly learned skills in meal preparation.
