#Hiring Our Halifax Client is looking to hire on a Sr. Test and Trials Specialist. Education & expereience required but not limited to; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering as well as a Professional... Engineering (P. Eng) designation or equivalent relevant technologist diploma (eg: Marine, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering). A Transport Canada certification as First or Second Class Marine Engineer would be considered an asset. Experience Required: - 8 or more years’ experience in one or more of the following areas; - Seagoing Naval engineering - Commissioning of new build vessels in a commercial shipyard - Commissioning of high tech systems in process or power plants - Design of state of the art new build ships or marine structures Experience in the design and/or operation of medium voltage diesel electric propulsion systems is considered an asset. Strong knowledge and experience with ship auxiliary systems and ship diesel propulsion systems, including fuel oil systems, lube oil systems, cooling water systems, and main and emergency diesel engines.
