Welcome to Rush Season for Delta Upsilon Manitoba! A lot of people have a negative stigma about fraternities and the activities that they do, as well as a lot o...f questions. If you have any questions that you wish to be addressed feel free to send me a message or even post in the comments and I'll be more than happy to respond. Rush officially starts on September 8 when the members of Delta Upsilon will be at the University of Manitoba promoting school spirit and helping any freshmen in need. On September 10, the members of Delta Upsilon will be raising money for charity by sitting on a teeter totter for 24 hours which will be located between University Centre and the Administration Building (location subject to change). Feel free to come out and say hello! We'll be recognized by our Delta Upsilon shirts as well as a flags and posters. For miscellaneous information regarding rush as well as a complete calendar please direct your attention to dumanitoba.ca. This will be continuously updated with photos and stories of our rushes experiences throughout the rush period. Delta Upsilon is the first Non-Secret, Non-Hazing Fraternity founded in 1834 at Wiliams College. Delta Upsilon, or originally known as "The Social Fraternity", had dreams of standing out from others that were being founded at the time. We believe that the way to induct members is not through degrading action or by belittling them but instead by helping them grow as individuals. Delta Upsilon is built on four founding principles: Advancement of Justice, Promotion of Friendship, Development of Character, and Diffusion of Liberal Culture. Over the next few weeks I will be positing segments on what these founding principles actually mean, as well as what they mean to members of the chapter personally. Welcome to Delta Upsilon Rush 2015!
