Shout out to Fraya’s people not only for allowing me to try something new and fun with Fraya’s groom, but also for not firing me when this was the result! Thank you for having an amazing sense of humour and fun spirit! If you were bothered by my epic fail with your dogs tail, you didn’t even let it show and you were so kind when you reassured me, fur grows back! It means so much to have such easy going and supportive clients who let me explore and experiment to learn and grow. Yah, that’s an attempted heart-butt and believe it or not, the pictures made it look better than real life To my other concerned clients, don’t worry, I won’t try this again (unless you ask me to! )

I captured some moments from Tiki’s spa day. She loves her bath massage so much I couldn’t fit the nails, ears, brush and blow out (that we also accomplished) in the video. I love how she looks at me in the beginning like I trust you lady- what are we doing today? Lots of snuggles and hugs for this sweet old’ girl. Thank you for trusting me to be her groomer Nicole Clause

Candy doesn’t want it to be her turn, but she doesn’t want it NOT to be her turn either Brandy always wants it to be her turn. Lots of kisses, these Sisters are always a pleasure to groom. Marlene Mccord

When your brush out feels like a massage you say don’t stop, don’t stop!

Sweet Bailey (Cocker Spaniel) came in for her clean up spa day yesterday. We usually keep her nice and short because she is a stinker and won’t let her people near her with a brush! That thick coat and long ears seem to get into everything too She is a sweetheart and a pleasure to groom!

Gucci had a rough start in life so it just warms my heart to see her so loved and cared for. She was rescued from the box she lived in almost 2 years ago and when I first met her I remember she was underweight, clearly malnourished, matted, terrible skin, crusty eyes and her nails were curled under. Her people have given her a new life and she has improved so much! Her nails were an ongoing issue which we were working on and improving. Needless to say, Covid and the lockdown ...has set our progress back. We’re going to be working to get those nails to a comfortable and healthy length so she feels as good as she looks! She is also scheduled for dental surgery which her people told me was also pushed back twice due to lockdown Pour girl! We decided to go extra short for her this time in anticipation of possible future lockdowns. She stays inside and wears comfy sweaters anyway I hope you enjoy this video that shows her transformation today See more

Havi humoured me by modelling a variety of looks today. Top left is my ears get in the way when my groomer trims my chin. Middle and top right show the classic top knot bow-bun. Bottom left is the fountain and bottom right... well, you can’t tell Havi the side part and skinny jeans are out.

Always practice humanity over vanity in my shop and I am so grateful to have an amazing like-minded clientele who trust my intentions and ethics. Keeping in mind that we’re coming out of a 7 week lockdown and being that not all my clients were groomed the day before lockdown, many are going on 10-13 weeks + without grooming! Shave downs WILL be necessary. I will not put a dog through pain to save coat for beautification purposes. Where shave-downs aren’t necessary for immedia...te welfare, I will be recommending shorter clips (to many) anyways; as proactive measure to prepare these pups should we go into unexpected lockdown again. (For who knows how long!). Yes, it’s cold out (but temps are expected to rise by end of week). Many of the dogs I groom don’t spend much time outside during these cold temps, or they have coats. Short or no coat is 1000 times less painful than a matted coat! You can rest assured, always, that I am concerned and focused on the health and welfare of animals foremost. Thank you to all my loyal and fantastic clients for your support and patience while I navigate through this pandemic. See more

Prince Leia, I mean Rocky, got the full spa treatment, drying in style after his bath I saw this towel trick on TikTok- I don’t get the purpose, aside from the obvious cuteness but that was reason enough for me to try it

THIS IS A PSA!! TICK ALERT FOR ANYONE GETTING THEIR REAL CHRISTMAS TREES!!!!!! This morning my family and I went searching through the Christmas Tree farm for the perfect tree! And what a beautiful, mild day it was! Of course ticks are out but they certainly weren’t on my mind! After returning home we went about our day, I changed my sweater and ran errands, the kids napped and played and put their coats back on when we went back out later. The dog lounged around the house!...!! It wasn’t until I was eating dessert, that (I kid you not), a TICK FELL OUT OF MY HAIR AND INTO MY SORBET!!!! You guys know I am a dog groomer, so I am very confident in identifying one. No question, it was a tick. Obviously when the weather is this mild, and you’re walking through fields of trees and weeds, this is a risk, but had I remembered that, I would have done things differently. For one, I wouldn’t have taken Shaggy with us! And for 2, I would have stripped us all and checked everyone over right away when we got home! I’m sharing this so you can all be mindful when you’re out getting your trees. Now we’re checking and double checking and stripping everything. Luckily that’s the only one so far TICKS ARE OUT! DONT BE CAUGHT OFF GUARD AND HAVE YOUR DESSERT RUINED LIKE MINE, lol See more
