REAL TALK We are in the animal rescue business, and the reality of what some of these animals have been through is sometimes harsh, hard to stomach, diffic...ult to think about, and sad to see. This just makes it that much more imperative that we do our job, and do it well. It is our duty to find these amazing creatures new homes, loving homes, PERFECT homes for their situations, and every time it all comes together, we are so thankful. This handsome 7-year-old male Cao Fila de Sao Miguel is Rubble. Rubble has had a hard life. His leg was broken and left to heal on its own, so he needs to be on arthritis medication for the rest of his life. His ears have been hacked off by a previous owner, which doesn’t make him any less handsome in our eyes. The cold, hard truth is that Rubble has had a horrible life up until now, so he deserves the very best, and that is what we are searching for. Rubble would thrive in a home with no children or small dogs, where he is the center of attention, and after all that he has been through, we believe this is the very least that he deserves for the rest of his days. I am extremely lucky to know Lauren Duncan, a Certified Trainer specializing in Behaviour Modification and Rehabilitation. When I told her about Petey and Rubbl...e she graciously offered to drive down for the weekend from Saskatoon to do some assessments on the boys. She was extremely happy with them, they passed the challenges with flying colours. Now we have some ideas of what to work on moving forward with the boys and how to help them prepare for when they eventually are able to be adopted! Thank you again Lauren for coming all this way to help us get a better understanding of where the boys are at and for offering to have phone conversation with the adoptive owners to help them transition when the time comes!
