Pharmacies in Ontario are experiencing an unprecedented demand at this time when filling prescription refills. As the government of Ontario has again allowed a 3 month supply ( when prescription allows, as written ) pharmacies and wholesalers are experiencing many temporary shortages due to smaller inventory levels over the last 3 months. To avoid multiple trips to the pharmacy and lessen wait times, please order refills in advance ( 2 to 3 days, or more if over a weekend ) Hopefully, this situation will subside by the end of July. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

To all our customers: Due to COVID-19, for the safety of all our patients and staff, we have set up a drop off station for prescriptions at the back door of the pharmacy. Please drop off your prescription in one of the drawers provided and allow 30-60 minutes before returning for pick up. We kindly ask you to wait in your car if you are going to wait for your medication to be ready. Alternatively, we will gladly deliver prescription or front shop items, but we ask for items ...to be pre-paid by credit card over the phone. At this time, we are not accepting any empty blister packs for reuse. You may cross off your name and recycle them. We also are not reusing medication vials. If you are retuning medication for disposal, we ask that you empty the pills into a zip lock bag before bringing it to the pharmacy. If you are experiencing any flu like symptoms such as cough or fever and have recently travelled or been in contact with someone who has recently travelled, please do not come to the pharmacy. It is advised that you stay home and call Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-790-0000 or 811. Be prepared for long wait times. If you are experiencing shortness of breath or severe symptoms, go to your nearest hospital or call 911. To help protect yourself and those around you, it is highly advised that you wash your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. You should also avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, use hand sanitizer when hand washing is not available, sneeze into your upper sleeve not your hands avoid social gatherings and stay home if you are ill. Good Morning, As information regarding the spread of COVID-19 is constantly updating, Dundalk Village Pharmacy is closely monitoring the situation, utilizing the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Ontario Ministry of Health. The health and safety of our customers and employees has always been, and continues to be our top priority. Here are some of the protocols we are following to help keep you safe: ... - Clients have the option of having their prescriptions delivered to them if they choose to self-isolate. Clients showing symptoms may be asked to not enter the store. - Staff is sanitizing frequently touched areas of the store (debit pinpads, doors, shopping baskets, counters) every 1-2 hours in correspondence with customer traffic. Hand sanitizer is available at all work stations. - Vaccinations are suspended until March 31, then will be reassessed weekly. Please call ahead. - As supplies of paper products, household cleaners, ingredients to make hand sanitizer are backordered from distributors we are working to get product in as quickly as possible. High-demand items may have a limit/customer to ensure as many people as possible have an opportunity to purchase what they need. If you have any comments, suggestions, please speak to a pharmacist or manager. Wash hands, try to avoid touching your face, and use verified information to stay calm and informed.
