Last week, the Board Executive initiated the phone tree network to provide a short survey to our active members. Your responses will help us determine where we should concentrate our efforts in bringing about new ways to provide worship services at Dunsford United. We appreciate the ...input from all who have responded so far and will have the reopening team set up to meet this month to get plans into place. Thank you, Mission Board Executive Re-Open Questionnaire The executive of the Mission Board at Dunsford United has set a reopen date of September 13, 2020. Under the current conditions, we would be required to follow a number of safety precautions and restrictions. The building would need to undergo thorough cleaning and everyone would be screened upon arrival and put on a face mask before entering. Everyone would need to hand sanitize and practise social distancing while in the building. No singing is allowed during the service and no fellowship time afterward. Junior Church would be limited to outdoor gatherings only, weather permitting. From Sharon: Sharing these words of prayer from Richard in the face of continued news of devastation out of Beirut, Lebanon. Moderator Richard Bott God -... Your servants in Lebanon are grieving, today, the death of loved ones, killed in the explosion which destroyed the port, and was felt kilometers upon kilometers away. I pray for those who have died, their families and friends, in all of their grief and loss; I pray for those who are still waiting, to hear about those who are missing, in their anxiety and their grief; I pray for the healing of those who live, but whose bodies were damaged by the blast... buildings and property can, and will, be rebuilt, but healing the grief of loss through death will take time, and love. And so I pray. In your name and in your love. Stay safe and stay well. Prayerfully, Sharon Amen. Thanks to Richard for these words. Whenever I hear of such tragedies, it feels compounded these days with the burdens of COVID-19, all the loved ones we’ve not yet been able to see, or are feeling strains of physical distancing, when we would love to just give a hug and hold others close. We lift up our thoughts and prayers for all we care about, for safety, health and well-being. Offer gratitude for the gift of this day that we are blessed with.
