Salvation Army The Salvation Army is a Christian organization that gives hope and support to vulnerable people in our community. In Fort St. John they operate a communities only Emergency Shelter for women & men experiencing homelessness. Also they have a 36 bed transitional housing program for women & men. Salvation Army operates the only Food Bank in Fort St. John, they serve between 400-650 families monthly. The Thrift store is an important program that provides low-cost, quality items to folks needing to save some money and all proceeds support the operation of our Food Bank. Each day we will pick a new group to support. Dunvegan will donate a percentage of that day sales. Help us support local. Donation boxes are available to give at Dunvegan or drop off a non perishable food item. Thank you to each one of you for making this possible.

The second tree that we are featuring today is from Kathy, she has chosen the Inspirational tree. The soft colours in contrast to the rust silks make a beautiful statement. Kathy is the creator of all the beautiful wreaths and arrangements at the store.

Some great new signs came in!

Today’s favourite tree is from Rose. She loves the simplicity, colours and theme of this cute Frontier tree. It features chuck wagons, Buffalo and tumbleweed. Rose managed to take time out of the office to help decorate a few trees this year.

We're trying something new and fun this year!! We are going to open up a few days of personal shopping to allow kids to shop for Mom/Dad/Siblings/Grandparents! From December 1-5 between 1-5pm we are going to open up half hour appts for parents to sign up their child(ren) to shop with one of our staff. They will come into the store with their money and "shopping list" (attached to this post to be printed off) and a $$ amount that you would like them to spend on each person. G...ifts will be sent home packaged and ready for Christmas!! The parent(s) may relax in the oasis and enjoy something from our coffee machine while they wait. To book your appt, please call the store at 250-785-1131 and our staff will advise you as to our dates/times available! This is a very fun and rewarding opportunity for kids, as well as a great learning experience.

Joni is the lady behind many of these gorgeous trees. She shares her exceptional talent with us during decorating season. She choose to feature this fun colourful nutcracker tree, it makes a real statement when you enter the store.

Come on in for a slice of pie and a coffee/hot chocolate! We are now selling local food goods. We currently have whole pies (fresh and frozen) too! All supplied from Made With Love. Drop in for a visit and check out the new Christmas displays going up!

Meet Martha and her snowman, this black and white check snowman tree is her favourite this year. She spent a lot of time fluffing trees and stringing lights this season.

In the spirit of supporting local, tomorrow November 21 from 11-5, members from the Charlie Lake PAC will be here selling Cash Celendars to raise money for new playground equipment for Charlie Lake Elementary School. $20/each - Daily cash prizes, tickets are valid for all draw dates, and if you win, your name goes back into the draw!

Amaryllis bulbs have arrived! We also received prepared hyacinths and paper whites! There are some new and cute amaryllis bulbs that are waxed in beauty winter colors and others that are waxed white and have fun little Rudolph faces. These particular bulbs don't need water! Just display.

These ladies are some of our most dedicated and loyal customers! They are in regularly with smiles on their faces as they browse and meander through the store. Yesterday they came in and sampled our new sandwiches from Aniela's Kitchen Come on in and purchase a sandwich yourself, grab a coffee, and sit and enjoy the atmosphere. We also have pies from Made With Love for you to choose from as well, including individual slices

Brrrr its cold outside But thats ok, we've got you covered! Literally! We have some beauty new toques, scarves, wraps and gloves in stock with some fun colors to choose from.

Carrying on with our local sourcing theme, we are now offering ground beef. It is grass-fed regular ground beef from Ardill's Ranch and priced at $5/lb. It has been locally inspected and butchered at Lawrence Meats. We have some great seasonings to purchase along with it!

Food Friday!! We are going to change it up a little. Normally, we would share a recipe for the veggies we grow. Today we are going to highlight some new items instead!! ... Cider spices and egg nog mix. Dip mixes and seasonings. Antipasto. Fruit spreads. And last but not least, perogies.

Its starting!! We are bringing in local goods to sell in our store. Sandwiches are here! Farm fresh eggs are here! Perogies are on the way, as are Garlic Dill Dip and Garlic Butter. Next week will be Fruit Pies!
