I could call him one of the luckiest immigrants I have ever met, but that wouldn’t even begin to describe Mr. Billy Daroya. He is one of the most hard working people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Mr. Daroya could tell you one hell of a story on how he became a Canadian Permanent Resident. His journey was not an easy path, but this guy took it all in stride. Mr. Daroya came to Canada on a Study Permit. Like most newcomers, he was eager to do things independentl...y. He could tell you that one mistake, even a technicality, could lose you your status in the blink of an eye. Thankfully, Mr. Daroya is a smart and hardworking man, so much that other people took a chance to support him with an Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) application to get a Work Permit. Having to live month to month, not even knowing if you're going to have a status.. from Restoration, to a Visitor's Visa, having to do Flag Poling, to CEC - you name it, and he went through it amazingly with flying colors. Thank you for making me a part of your journey. You probably don’t realize how much you have taught me. I have never poured so much into a case like I have in yours. Bringing in skilled and talented workers around the world helps Canada to get back on its feet.
