Church family. We have created a new website www.vecc.ca and will begin regular communication through the new site.
Friends, if you are looking for a live worship option this morning, tune into our friends from Winnipeg.
Church friends and family, As we continue to live in this culture of isolation, our church leaders will be doing what we can to find meaningful material to share with you. It is our hope that through these efforts, you will find meaning and be drawn into closer relationship with your Savior, Redeemer, and Friend Jesus Christ. We as a church family have enjoyed in the past videos posted by "The Bible Project". During this time they are providing a video a week as an added ...way for all of us to be fed by the spirit. This weeks video is on "Generosity". My God continue to bless you as you slow down and draw near to him. https://bibleproject.com/videos/generosity/
A good devotion to start your day.
Dear VECC family, I hope this greeting finds you all well, and embracing the opportunity to spend some quality time in prayer and thoughtful reflection of Gods love and mercy. May your faith keep you strong, and the Holy Spirit give you peace in this anxious time. After much prayer and discussion, our church leaders have come to the conclusion that the prudent thing to do is suspend our regular Sunday morning schedule including Sunday School and worship services. We will c...Continue reading
Valley Evangelical Covenant Church Family, I hope you are all well amid all the anxiety and uncertainty created by the recent COVID 19 pandemic. I know there are a lot of questions about how to react and what we should or are doing as a church to address the many concerns. Firstly let me start with saying that we will proceed with our regularly scheduled worship service tomorrow (Sunday March 15th) at 11:00am. We will be asking our greeters to not hand out bulletins directl...y or shake hands. We ask those attending service to respect personal space and observe social distancing practices. Offering plates will be placed at the back of the sanctuary for those wishing to tithe, rather than passing them around. In addition we will alter our service opening and social greeting time. Immediately following the service we will be holding a meeting to discuss further action. All are welcome to stay, members and non-members alike. We understand that this is a unique moment in history and many come with varying view points. As we enter in to dialogue about next steps, please be kind and respectful to each other. This is a fluid and rapidly evolving concern. If you are sick or not feeling well, please stay home. I encourage all to be in constant prayer for our church, community, country, and world as this global circumstance continues to evolve. For the scriptures say, "My Father never stops working, so why should I?". We are reminded by Jesus throughout the gospel to look out for one another. As we navigate this difficult time together, please look for opportunities to serve rather than be served. As many will be entering into self-isolation for the good of others, so to will the opportunity for loneliness to settle in. With our technology these days, reaching out to one and other in a safe manner is easier than ever. Many of our ill, immune compromised and elderly might need your assistance in attaining groceries and supplies. Please also remember that if you over buy, someone who needs may not get. This is a week to week, day to day situation and we will do our best to keep all informed of decisions and schedule in the days and weeks to come. Many in our church family may not have access to social media or be able to see this post. Please pass this along to our church family. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or text Scott Beehler or Marvin Fried. For those that are able we have an excellent guest tomorrow speaking and leading musical worship. God bless us all.
