First solo flight! Did you know that training can be completed in the Cessna 152 or the Cessna 172 without affecting the licenses/ratings that are being worked towards? #Pilot #Pilottraining #Soloflight #PPL #CPL #Oshawa #FlightSchool #Flying #DurhamRegion #OshawaAirport #Airport

There is no requirement to begin one aspect of pilot training before the other. Durham Flight Centre recommends trying to complete the ground school around the same time as your flight training, however this is not required. It’s important to note, in order to write the Transport Canada Written exam, you must have completed a minimum of 10 flight training hours as well as the required ground school hours. #FlightTraining #PilotTraining #FlightSchool

Chevaughn Christopher is one of the Dispatchers at Durham Flight Centre but you can also find him on the ramp at Enterprise Aviation Group. As long as he can remember, Chevaughn Christopher has always wanted to be a Pilot. He pursued that dream by getting his PPL in Trinidad and then finished his pilot training in Canada. The business side of the aviation industry has always fascinated Chevaughn Christopher. In the future he sees himself as a Management Pilot in the airline ...or corporate field. One of his dreams is to be a Director or Executive VP of flight operations or business optimization. #Pilot #Aviation #PilotTraining #Flying

The sightseeing/introductory flight can be purchased one of two ways. The flight itself can be booked by calling the school and payment would be required after the flight has returned. If you’d like to receive a gift certificate, it can be purchased in-person or over the phone. The gift certificate has a 1 year expiry date after the date of purchase and can be booked for anytime while the gift certificate is valid. Gift certificates purchased over the phone will be mailed out to an address of your choice through regular Canada Post. #Sightseeing #FlightSchool #Aviation

Today we pause in a moment of silence to honour and remember the men and women who have served, and continue to serve Canada during times of war, conflict and peace. We remember the more than 2,300,000 Canadians who have served throughout our nation’s history and the more than 118,000 who made the ultimate sacrifice.

In our flight school, computer programming and aviation go hand-in-hand. Paul Beaudon works as a dispatcher at DFC. Paul created the DFC weight and balance app that is distributed on both Google Play (android) and Apple App (iOS) Store. Paul is currently working on creating an in-house software suite for use at our dispatch desk. Paul has combined his passion for aviation and computer programming at Durham Flight Centre. If you're interested, you can check DFC's weight and ...balance apps out here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details https://apps.apple.com//durham-flight-centre-w/id910384816

The Cessna 152 and the Cessna 172 are very similar aircraft, with the main difference being the size. The Cessna 172 in the bigger of the two aircraft and is generally recommended by the school to any individual that is 165lbs or heavier and/or 5’10 or taller. #Cessna152 #Cessna172 #Aviation #PPL #FlightSchool

We often get asked the best way to begin your pilot license journey. The best way to get into aviation is to book an introductory flight. This will allow you to gain information about what it takes to become a pilot, about the potential flight school, and most importantly gets you in the air! #FlightSchool #CanadianFlightSchool #PPL #CPL #Aviation
