Notice to all our valued customers. Last weekend, we lost a valued member of our community, Jenny Rogers to a tragic traffic accident . Known for her happy smil...e whenever you saw her at Tim Hortons , jenny was a bright smile most of our mornings at the drive through window . Jenny leaves behind her fiance, Jordan and her 2 yr old son ,Ovid . Over the next few weeks we will be accepting donations at the store , to go towards Ovids fund raising. Once finished , we will be presenting the family with the monies raised to assist Jordan and Jenny's family in the raising of Ovid . It's at these tragic times , we need to come together to help one of our own. May God bless and keep her . Thanking you all in advance Dave , Omar , and all the Foodland team .

Although different circumstances this year the Canadian Police and Peace Keepers 43rd Annual Memorial Service will be held September 27th virtually. It is with ...heavy hearts we honour those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Our flags will be at half mast honouring the fallen. On Friday, June 19th West Grey Police Service was proud to support the Spruce Ridge Community School physically distanced Grade 8 Graduation. The event was we...ll organized by a group of parents and the graduates were able to wear their best outfits. Our school resource officer Constable Brown was the emcee providing the students with a memorable speech and a send off to new adventures at High School. West Grey Police would like to wish all the West Grey graduates our very best, your future is bright. See more

During the Covid-19 Pandemic the Durham Firefighters Association has refrained from being actively involved on social media and in the public eye. While we continue to respond and train in the community, we have taken many actions to help safe guard others and ourselves during these times. We would like to express our enormous amount of thanks to all the Front Line and Essential workers in our community. During the next few weeks, we will be recognizing some of those Workers and Businesses that have provided and continue to provide an Essential Services. We thank everyone for their ongoing support and remind everyone to thank an essential worker.
