TRAIL CONDITIONS: The trails received more snow than rain this morning. They are now mostly slushy with some snowpack and icy sections. Please ride with caution and discretion if leaving ruts. #DurhamForest

Tune in this week to cheer and follow along with local athletes, Emily Batty, Haley Smith, and Tyler Orschel, in the kick-off of the 2020 UCI MTB World Cups. https://www.redbull.com/ca-en/uci-mtb-world-cup-calendar Unfortunately, the U23 races will not be live broadcasted - Tyler Orschel is racing on Thursday at 10:15am Euro time for World Cup #1 which should work out to 4:15am Uxbridge time. He races again for World Cup number 2 on Saturday at 3pm Euro time which should be 9am Uxbridge time. You can follow live timing for Nove Mesto under 23 Cross Country MU (for U23 men) from the www.uci.org website.

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY DAGMAR Five years ago today, Dagmar was opened after 6000 volunteer hours by DMBA members. Most of you know the story, but the closure of Dagmar was one of the original reasons for founding the DMBA in the first place. Since the opening, Dagmar has become the go-to area for skilled mountain bikers in Durham and around the GTA. DMBA volunteers continue to maintain the trails with the assistance of the TRCA for the enjoyment of all. This year SKIN AND BO...NES, the new double black diamond trail, was built and created much excitement, similar to the feeling when Dagmar opened. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped make Dagmar happen and who continue to keep it in tiptop shape. Thank you to all users who continue to enjoy the trials and treat the property like it was their own. HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY DAGMAR!

Durham Region is in need of some mountain bikers who might be interested in volunteering to participate in a project they are working on either next Tuesday or Thursday for a couple of hours. **Trail Build at Jefferson Forest** On Sunday August 30th from 8:30am -12pm the YMBA will be leading a small trail build at Jefferson forest to address a badl...y eroded section of trail located near the south end of the property. We would ask that anyone interested in participating in the build contact Jon Bell ([email protected]) for more details and to RSVP. The number of volunteer spots will be limited to ensure there is adequate spacing for social distancing. See more
