The world has been in a pandemic for almost one year and this is all because of our unhealthy relationship with the natural world. We don't respect our fellow ...earthlings who inhabit this beautiful planet Earth that is sustaining all of us! We disrespect our environment, by exploiting and abusing it. We treat sentient beings like inanimate objects and even worse. We need to stop using animals for food, clothing, entertainment, and experimentation. Stop supporting the vile animal agriculture industry! Please go vegan for the health of the planet, for your health, and for the rest of the animal kingdom Please join us, get active. www.torontopigsave.org

Christopher is new to Animal Save vigils. He says that bearing witness totally changed his life. Connecting with the animals, looking in their eyes and seeing t...hat they are living, breathing beings who want to avoid suffering and want love just like all of us. Bill 156 won't allow activists to get close to the animals and give them love in their hour of need. #compassionisnotacrime #repealbill156 Please join us Tuesday morning for a vigil for the cows Bring a friend Bear witness Get active to help them All vigil details: www.facebook.com/pg/TorontoCowSave/events/

We live in unprecedented times. Pandemic, climate crises all around our globe, the environment that would sustain us is breaking down. Science knows that the l...eading cause of all these is our relationship to the natural world and our exploitation of the animals. Activists try to show to the general public the truth behind animal agriculture even though the industry and the government wants to make it impossible to do so. It all comes down to profit at the expense of the health of the people, the environment and the animal lives sacrificed. Animal Rights activists are punished for documenting and telling the truth about the animal exploitation. Please join us! We need everyone in this movement if we want our children to have a future. #RepealBill156 #CancelAnimalAgriculture

Today is is #Thanksgiving in #Canada Last year, 20 million turkeys were killed in Canada for their flesh that we don't need. Most of them were condemned to shortened lives of misery in crowded and filthy warehouses. Most people have never known a turkey or these amazing facts!... 1. Turkeys Have Moods Just like humans, turkeys have good and bad moods. For male turkeys, you can tell what kind of mood they are in by looking at the color of their throat and head. Blue means they are happy, red means get ready, they are mad! 2. Turkeys Have Strong Social Bonds Turkeys form strong social bonds with their family and flock mates, sometimes traveling in the wild with groups of 200 or more. 3. Turkeys Are Speedy Wild turkeys can run at speeds of up to 25 miles per hour and fly as fast as 55 miles per hour. 4. Turkeys Are Down to Play Football Believe it or not, turkeys are playful! Poultry scientist and animal science professor at Oregon State University, Tom Savage, noted that if you throw an apple to a group of turkeys, they will play with it together. Turkeys also love music and will cluck along with songs! 5. Turkeys Can Purr Turkeys have a wide range of sounds. For example, when they are startled, they will make a purr type of sound. Turkeys have also been known to make a cat-like purr when they are feeling relaxed and content. So sweet! 6. Turkeys Are Protective Mamas When a turkey’s eggs are close to hatching, the mother will not leave, according to John James Audubon, the well-known bird expert and nature enthusiast. The mother turkey stays with the poults at ground-level to keep them safe and warm until they learn to fly and roost up in the trees. 7. Turkeys Like to Flirt Male turkeys, or toms, attract hens with their wattles, colorful flaps of skin around their necks, and beards on their chests (no body waxing for turkeys.) To attract a female, toms puff up their bodies and spread their beautiful, colorful feathers. Males have feathers that are red, green, purple, copper, bronze, and gold while the females have muted shades of brown and grey. This Sunday is #Thanksgiving in #Canada. Turkeys are intelligent and sensitive animals that are highly social. They create lasting social bonds with each other and are very affectionate; rather similar to dogs. Last year, 20 million turkeys will killed in Canada for their flesh that we don't need. Benjamin Franklin wrote that in comparison to the bald eagle, the turkey is a much more respectable Bird, and withal a true original Native of America...He is besides, though a little vain and silly, a Bird of Courage. "Each year, an estimated 56 billion cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and other sentient land-based animals are caged, crowded, deprived, drugged, mutilated and ma...cerated in the world's factory farms. Then they are brutally slaughtered for our dinner table. Countless aquatic animals are caught and suffocated by vast trawler nets so we can have our fish fillet or tuna fish salad. Since 1983, the annual observance of World Day for Farmed Animals on October 2nd (Gandhi's birthday) has been offering people of conscience a superb opportunity to memorialize and mourn these innocent lives. An opportunity to ask their friends and neighbors to stop subsiding senseless atrocities at their supermarket checkout counter. Hundreds of groups and individuals throughout the world participate each year." A big thank you to the activists who came out this morning to Fearmans Slaughterhouse in Burlington to bear witness to the plight of the pigs and educate the public about. Just like us, a cow is pregnant for nine months and will give birth (normally) to one baby. Her body will then produce breast milk to nourish her newborn. A cow's breast milk is naturally enriched to grow a 60lb calf to 600lbs in one year. In the #dairy industry, cows are artificially inseminated annually and forced to become pregnant in order to continually produce breast milk. At birth her newborn is torn from her and either killed, kept isolated in a hutch to either repla...ce her or become veal, sent to auction for veal producers to buy. This is done so that humans can drink the milk nature created to feed her own young. Sound disturbing? It is. Wean yourself from the breast of the cow with delicious and nutritious plant-based milks. There's never been so many delicious options: https://www.peta.org//the-cereal-lovers-guide-to-plant-bas

Animal rights activist Regan Russell was brutally taken away from us on June 19. While protesting Bill 156 and giving love to the pigs at Fearmans slaughterhous...e in Burlington she was killed by a transport truck carrying pigs to their slaughter. The driver who killed Regan was charged with careless driving, which is a non-criminal charge ignoring the witnesses’ testimonials. Bill 156 was intended to silence animal rights activists and whistleblowers who want to expose the horrors in the animal industry. Regan’s death made the movement stronger, we continue her legacy and will not stop until Bill 156 is repealed. #JusticeForReganRussell #RepealBill156

Aerial view above a rendering facility where millions of holocaust victims end up every single day. The rotting bodies and body parts of these countless victims will be turned into "food" and will be fed to cats, dogs, farmed animals, abused human children, and other exploited and mistreated beings. The left and right rendering truck trailers you see here contain full bodied pigs and the middle trailer contains body parts of pigs. Humans claim their "pets" are spoiled and eat... better than they do. This is the behind the scenes of what goes into the sustenance used for these so-called spoiled animals. Pet food is made from the same animals who humans consume, but pet food products warn the buyer that what they are buying is "Not For Human Consumption." The animals at rendering plants have died at farms, livestock auctions, on slaughter trucks, and so forth but humans make sure to squeeze profit out of every sentient (or once sentient) being they can. The pet industry and meat industry and rendering industry all fall under the animal use industry. All of these industries are to blame for unimaginable suffering and harm and destruction and none of them need to or should exist. #animalrights #animalagriculture #apathy #humansgottago #greed #pig #bacon #pork #porkchops #whatsfordinner #mealtime #yum #govegan

"Mass-produced meat is a historical aberration that emerged within capitalism and must end with it for the reversal of the drive to find new profit in every facet of human and animal life means that some of nature must be left unworked. Rather than being rivals, socialists, trade unionists, animal-liberation activists, public health officials and environmentalists should recognise their shared aim of abolishing relentless meat production." #vegan
