Construction of the new Aquatic Facility is scheduled to start this spring! To date, the site has been cleared and the necessary survey, ground testing and wate...r demand tests have been completed. Mechanical equipment for the pool has been secured, and the permitting process is underway. The new pool design includes a 25 metre, 8 lane lap pool that will be deep enough for safe diving! This new pool will also be dimensioned and outfitted to suit regional and Canadian competitions standards with a large viewing area. The leisure pool, which will have a lazy river and multiple spray features, will be warm enough for small child comfort! In addition to the two pools, this new recreational facility will also have a multi-purpose room, steam room, hot tub, family change room, as well as gender specific change rooms. (*Please note that some features pictured, including the climbing wall and slide will be future additions to the pool). We are excited to see this project get underway this spring!
