I am thinking of setting up a Wordpress page to showcase older and newer projects. This page will still be around if I do, I just will post links to there. What do you think?

So as I mentioned on my main account - I found some poems/prose and a couple short stories from a span of 1996 to about 2004/5. I will be slowly posting the poems here later this week as I got my kiddo until Wednesday. I would have posted some last week, but Facebook decided I needed a time out.

"The Most Beautiful Girl, Part 2." (with apologies to R. Waters) She could have very been The most beautiful girl in the world.... Her life snuffed out, Like a deer caught in the crossfire, Of some supposed noble hunter. An appointed committee, Deep in the swamp, Far from the lives they control, Vote down the laws, To ensure this won't happen again, And take in donations, From lobbyists and spin doctors. That could be seen no more than blood money. Sleep if you can, Bundled in blissful ignorance. The trickle down economics Will surely work for you this time. Mistress Liberty weeps, At the scoundrels in charge, Her heart broken, battered, and bruised. Well boys, she said. You've broken our trust, Hope these hills you chose are worth dying for. Try and loosen your grip, On the trigger of your gun. The coldness of the air, Hardens your soul and your heart. Madness takes its toll, Clouding your judgment As you carry on with your demented plan. Bella Swann said, Katniss go home now, They're no longer changing the guards. Come on, I said, They need to listen this time to us. It's weird how the thoughts and prayers Make lousy bullet-proof glass. They cling hard to a belief it's their God given rights And pay false lip service to us While the bullet pierced through Her once beautiful neck As the blood stained her porcelain skin I sent out what may be my last text If I don't make it, I love you all, I appreciate all you did, Tell Mom it's not safe to get me now. Please feed Jake, he's a good dog. But thankfully I was one of the few, Who gets to go home, I'm going home, So be thankful today, I'm coming home. - D. Woychuk

Kind of a bad news/good news scenario. Due to events beyond my control, I think I am gonna not make the 50,000 word deadline by the end of the month. Good news is I will be taking a more leisurely pace and still finish "Heartbeats" to at least a decent draft. If there are still any interest, when the first draft is done I will still like some beta readers.

Back into the groove. Over 3100 words done. Sitting at 10,500 now. Hopefully I can do more later today to catch up to the planned average.

A few days of a unintended hiatus. Now back at it. Drinking egg nog and my Coke Zero cans have Santa on it because I hate our veterans I guess... ;)
