Shaun Morgan from Seether had this to say about Marlowe in Guitar world. We were all fans. Rory left Marlowe and Jay moved from bass to drums and they became HOKUM - Jay a very different but equally gifted drummer changed the sound and energy and after a mammoth of an album, Jay departed and Rory returned to the kit. The same Marlowe line-up is together again and making brilliant music. If you miss Marlowe now really is the time to follow and support HOKUM. They are recordin...g a new album. I got emotional hearing Rory play with them again. Nostalgic yet fresh. They have a chemistry that is just lovely to watch. I saw Marlowe at their second show and followed them as much as possible - I missed 6 gigs in their entire career and can name them. The album they did with JP stands as one of the best alternative rock albums in SA history. We were also religiously at Saron Gas (Seether) shows. Seeing this article and the response on their personal accounts has made me so happy I have heard the new music and as a fan (put aside all else) it is really great. I'm gonna say it again, If you loved Marlowe go and Love HOKUM.
