Last weekend, I had to get out of this tree becasue a storm was rolling in with high winds and lightning. We were able to return and finish the job when the conditions were much more favorable for tree work. This tree had lots of decay around 6 feet up and the other stem have already previously failed. We climbed high and cut small, and got this tree safely to the ground. If you need any tree work, give us a call or send us a msg today.

Bronze Birch Borer (Agrilus anxius) Agrilus anxius, otherwise know as "Bronze Birch Borer" is a beetle that is native to North America, and is found from Britis...h Columbia to Newfoundland. They are a insect of opportunity , feeding on already stressed birch trees caused by drought, other bugs, soil compaction or other stresses. An Adult beetle will emerge from the tree in mid-July through early-August causing a "D" shaped hole. The shape of the exit hole is a positive identification. Adult beetles deposit their eggs singly or in clusters under bark flaps or in cracks in the trunk. Eggs are laid until the end of August. Upon hatching, Larval bore directly into the bark and begins feeding in a serpentine manner at the interface of the xylem and phloem (disrupting where the water and nutrients are transported up and down the tree). SYMPTOMS OF BRONZE BIRCH BORER: -Thinning Crown -Branch die-back in the crown -Discoloration of the leaves and early foliage drop - Raised welts on the branched and trunk of tree - Sap flows out from larval entry - "D" Shaped exit holes. Keeping your Birch trees fertilized and well watered is the best prevention for Bronze Birch Borer. If you think your Birch tree had been a victim of Bronze Birch Borer attack, give Dynamic Tree Care a call today! 4036296042
