Hard to believe there is only one week to Christmas 2020! Like most of you i don’t think I’ll be sad to see the end of this year. Hoping 2021 brings us all back together like we used to be. That being said I’ve been working on some new glass ideas and here’s a sneak preview. . Just a few reminders Last nail trim clinic will be held Monday December 21st from 3-6pm. Happy labour day to my pet family, I can’t believe it’s already September 2020 where does the time go? That being said I’m posting this update so no one panics and thinks I’m moving lol. My youngest son Josh is moving to Edmonton so in the coming days you may see ads for selling stuff or I may even decide to rent out a room lol. But I assure you I’m not leaving town but I will definitely be making more trips to the city to visit, this means booking ahead will be a good idea... as I may not be available last minute like I have been in the past. I will try and accommodate you as I always have but if I’m in Edmonton that won’t be possible so please keep that in mind when looking at your shaggy pups lol. Currently I have a couple openings this week and because I’m extending my hours I have plenty of openings next week from the 13-17th, We will also be having a cat day or two. Happy summer days fort mcmurray pet family Thought I’d post an update since it’s been awhile, like most of you I’m so tired of hearing about Covid and numbers and rules and everything Covid lol so I’ve decided it was time to return a little bit of normalcy and fun in the shop and went back to making bandanas for all my beautiful fur family. So everyone goes home with a fresh finishing touch after every groom! In case you missed my previous post you can also come inside the ...shop once again. We ask that you just have a peek inside to make sure no is already at the counter as the space is small. I’m also happy to announce I have added some basic pet first aid items that I brought back from the pet pharmacy in Edmonton for purchase at my shop. We have some ear dry and ear cleaner, ear drops recommended by the pharmacy, vet wrap, hibitane ointment and a few other items. More stuff on the way ! See more

Happy Monday morning all you fabulous people! Over the past three days we have been very hard at work making even more changes to the shop to keep up with the times. While we were at it we decided to change the decor! So here a a preview of the new and improved dynamite grooming ! Can’t wait for you all to see it in person! You can now come right into the salon, we have decided to leave the box in place where it is(as a trial basis) as it’s a great way to ensure a pet can’t e...scape the salon if the gate is closed behind you. One person inside at a time, so if you see someone at the counter please wait outside until they leave. I believe I have caught up on dog messages (still working on cat situation) but I may have missed some so please send us a msg and we’ll do our best to get you booked in. Big shout out to Donnie Whitty from Total Home improvements for answering my call right away showed within 20 min gave me a price on constructing the wall and had it done next day!! Good evening Fort McMurray fur family. I have a couple of announcements to make. As things are ever changing we must keep up with the time’s. So we are going to try a walk in nail clinic this Saturday from 1-3:30! That’s right no appt needed. We still have covid 19 rules but made a few changes. The transfer box is now located at the front door. You can step in the box, knock on door, hook dogs leash on the hook provided inside box, step out and secure gate, then we will ope...n the door and bring your pet inside. If you are bringing a cat they must be in a carrier ! Also the cat grooming situation in our city is terrible. There are simply to many kitties and not enough groomers. I have decided to offer a cat grooming school! There will be a fee and of course and you will be taught how to fully groom a cat properly. Bath blow drys, lion cuts and Dino clips. Just as a caution I will let you know Cat grooming is dangerous as they can be very unpredictable and cat bites always mean a trip to the ER, when grooming cats it’s always advisable to be two people(groomer + assistant), that means you will need a partner to work with and there will be COVID 19 criteria. So if you are out of work or always wanted to have your own business or are simply a cat lover and want more information please send me a msg and I will happily answer as many questions as I can. Good after fort mcmurray pet family. I noticed I’ve been seeing a lot of loose dogs and wonderful people helping to locate their family. Just thought I’d pass along some advice. It’s great to give them water and shelter until owners are found or bylaw comes to get them but PLEASE do not feed someone else’s pet! Some pets have extreme allergies or are possibly on raw and a belly full of kibble they’re not accustomed to can cause more harm then good! Please please do not feed them without owner’s consent.

Good morning Fort McMurray pet family, this post is difficult for me to write but unfortunately it has come to this. Yesterday We had 3 full grooms no show and several express clinic appts no show. Not only are we out the cost of the grooms but paying staff to stand around is an extreme hardship on a small business. We simply can’t afford this loss anymore so things will need to change. What does this mean, well for any new clients or those that have a history of multiple no ...shows a non refundable deposit will be required 48 hours prior to appt. (the amount will be applied to your groom the day of the appt) if you need to reschedule with appropriate notice your deposit will be applied to the rebook, if you no show you will lose your deposit. If deposit hasn’t been received the appt will be cancelled and filled with someone on our wait list. Also effective immediately the self booking nail/express clinics have been cancelled, if you were a regular for these clinics give us a shout and we’ll set something up for you. It’s simply not fair to others to take up our time and then not bother to come. There are simply to many pets that need some TLC. For any questions or concerns please feel free to ask. For those that are already booked I will be in contact with you over the next couple days. Thank you everyone for understanding. Good morning, I just want to thank everyone for the support after my rant last night. That being said I’m working on a better plan to stop the problems we’ve been having with social distancing, so stay tuned for that update. I also want to let everyone know that I am not ignoring you. The amount of msgs coming in daily is simply overwhelming and difficult to manage. It takes hours to reply to people and wait for them to reply before I can move on and actually book the appt. ...I try to answer my regular clients within a couple of days but unfortunately this causes delays for new clients, I have over 150 pending messages and for every 15 I answer I get 20 more. I’m not complaining simply explaining why it’s taking so long, I feel bad I just can’t get to everyone in a timely manner and occasionally some get missed. We are trying our absolute best. I’m currently about a week and a half behind getting to new clients. If your dog or cat is extremely matted and can’t wait please start your msg with *URGENT* and I will try to get to you faster. Also please check with your regular groomer they may be open. Good evening everyone. I know lots of you haven’t heard from me yet but I am doing my best to answer everyone. Some msgs may get missed and I apologize if that happened. (I’ve been going back through the past couple weeks to see who I’ve missed) I am not taking new clients but... I am making some exceptions for those that are badly matted and can’t wait for anyone else. My regular clients that have not booked I suggest you do before there are no spots left for May. Good morning Fort Mcmurray, first off I just want to extend my sincerest sympathies to all those dealing with the aftermath of this flood. I have to say after seeing all the pics and videos of the destruction I sat here and cried tears for every one of you. It’s astonishing to see just how much damage water can do. Now for some happy good news. Aj Anthony from Bark ave pet grooming, her residence has not sustained any damage and she’s back home. I will hopefully have my sho...p back very soon as we wait for power to be restored at my son’s home. We are going to give this another try! (it certainly has been a roller coaster lately) We will begin working again on Wednesday! The book now for nails and express items only (these are NOT full grooms, full grooms must be scheduled by messaging page or texting me as always) Currently the book now is only open for this week to be sure there are no other natural disasters or pandemic issues! There are plenty of appts Wednesday Thursday and Friday this coming week. I have resumed booking appts and most have been rescheduled (I’m still working on it) because Of the lack of groomers and the state of our pets we will be double booking appts. This means when you get here please pay attention to be sure no one is In the transfer area. If they are wait your turn!! It is even more critical now that we exercise the utmost social distancing as so many have been in large groups lately and I expect a lot of people from the south to start arriving in our City to assist with clean up. We can not forget there is still Covid 19 and it is here. Take care everyone and if there are any questions please feel free to ask.

With our current second state of emergency Dynamite grooming s temporarily suspending any booking and taking things day by day. My shop is currently being used as a temporary shelter for evacuees (my oldest son, his gf and their two cats). Please be advised that your booked appts may get cancelled if they are not allowed to go home. I have talked to Aj with bark avenue and she is also an evacuee and ...has cancelled her appts until further notice. Please don’t be calling and messaging her right now as she’s dealing with a lot. We discussed hopefully being able to have at least express clinics in place soon but no bathing until our water situation improves, we don’t feel it’s safe nor effective to wash your pets with our water as gross as it is. My prayers our with everyone across the nation battling Covid 19 and all lost lives and my poor city Fort mcmurray. We’ll get through this we proved 4 years ago we could survive! See you all soon. Welcome to spring and muddy season, with that we all know comes shedding dogs and muddy little fur balls. I just want to give everyone an update, unfortunately Dynamite grooming can’t take any more new clients. I simply don’t have enough appts. Aj Anthony from Bark Avenue pet grooming is still taking new clients. We have decided together we will do express grooms (full grooms will still need to be booked by me) every Friday afternoon from 1:30-4:30 and will once again open th...e book now feature. If you don’t see it it’s because we are full and had to turn it off as we don’t like to book more than a few weeks ahead. Please follow the rules outlined below so you don’t miss your appt. * Arrive at scheduled appt time (this is important especially for nail and express appt as they are booked very close together) * Pull in my driveway! If driveway is occupied please wait your turn to pull in. DO NOT park across the street. That is a bus stop and a no parking zone! You will be asked to return to your vehicle and your appt may be cancelled. * DO NOT leave your pet unattended in the transfer box! * Please wait for someone to come out and meet you. Nail trims and express grooms can wait in vehicle for service to be completed. If you have any questions or concerns please message my page or Text me at 780-788-5525 (please no phone calls as much as I would love to talk to everyone there’s just not enough time in the day) Please be patient as sometimes I get backed up on returning messages but I will get back to you. I have hired some help and we’re going to try a couple cats tomorrow to see how it goes. If you have a kitty that is matted and simply can not wait to be groomed please send me a msg. I only have 2 possibly 3 spots open. If your cat can wait a little longer please don’t take an appt from a poor matted kitty. I’m very sorry I’m way behind in getting back to people but I’m trying to resolve all issues before proceeding. It’s been quite a challenge but nearly there.
