Start coming up with ideas, possibly even creating forms for Dysart's first Snow Sculpture Contest! Even though the Frost Festival is cancelled this year, we encourage you to get creative outdoors with members of your household. Let's see what you can create out of snow! The voting will take place from February 16 - February 22 with the winners to be announced on February 23, 2021.... The outdoor rink in the Village of Haliburton (76 Maple Avenue, beside the library) is open. A big shout out to the Dysart et al Fire Department for helping Parks Staff flood the rink. Please respect all provincial guidelines. During the provincial lockdown hockey, sticks and pucks are not allowed. Skating only. Please respect all provincial guidelines. You must maintain a physical distance of 3 metres from anyone outside of your household. #skating #outdoor fun

ARTS: Upstairs at the A.J. LaRue Arena, the beating of the drums echoed through the walls.

Sponsoring a public skate is a great way to contribute to the community. With your sponsorship, there will be a professionally printed display board indicating Today’s Public Skating is sponsored by business or individual name posted in the arena lobby during your sponsored time frame and you will be able to have a rotating advertisement on the electronic sign for one week prior to the skate. The A.J. LaRue Arena in Haliburton is now open again. Public skating will resume this Sunday, December 6th, 2020.
