I’m not black but I appreciate you. Your style. Your clothes.... Your music. Your ethics. Your CULTURE. I am influenced and inspired by Black culture. It is my obligation to realize the ugly side; the often neglected side and call for justice. I’m not black but I see the injustice you face and mourn with you. I’m not black but I fight for you. I fight with you. Not one fight, but all of them. The collective battles of HIDDEN adversity that you face on a DAILY basis; the enemy that others will likely NEVER experience or understand. You must jump more hurdles. You must climb more mountains. You must fight more battles. As long as humanity exists, racism and ignorance will coexist. There is no such thing as being non-racist. Either you are racist or you are anti-racist, meaning that you are consciously and actively fighting against racism. That’s how I see it, and we must proactively manifest change. I stand with you. #blackouttuesday

The known facts of COVID-19.. Research conducted by Isaiah Bromley Søgaard Singh Globally, there have been 126,623 cases (53,660 active, 72,963 closed), 68,325 recoveries, 4,638 deaths. (All rising)... COVID is many times more lethal than the common flu (in US Case-fatality of the flu was 0.14%) COVID has an estimated mortality rate of 3.4% according to WHO, with the elderly and chronically ill being the most at risk of serious infection and death. 10-20% of cases require hospitalization. With this being said, depending on your age, health, and health care system, the mortality rate could be anywhere from 0 (children) to 15%( over 80) which is much worse than previously anticipated. The most common symptoms are fever (90+%), coughing (70+%), and shortness of breath (50+%). Less common symptoms are muscle soreness/fatigue, phlegm/mucus, headache, and coughing up blood. The principal complication, which requires hospitalization, is Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. The systemic inflammation caused by the virus can also seriously damage the heart and kidneys. The incubation period for COVID is 5 days on average, but can be up to 14 days (with 98% having symptoms by day 12). This is the period of time between your exposure to the virus and the onset of symptoms. You can transmit the virus to someone else before you have symptoms. This is why isolation/quarantine is important if you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive. Each infected person will spread COVID to 2-3 others (reproduction number, lower with proactive/protective measures). In the light of exponential growth, this reproductive number is concerning. For example, 10 cases turn into 500,000 cases after 10 rounds of infection (~50 days), if the reproductive number is 3 (10--30--90--270--720--2,160--6,480--19,440--58,320--174.960--524,880) COVID-19 is mainly spread by air droplets (coughing, sneezing), but can probably spread fecal-oral and by surface contact. The vaccine is an estimated 18 months away (WHO), so you need to be proactive to protect yourselves and loved ones (The mortality rate for elderly and chronically ill is probably well over 10%) Here are some suggestions: -Wash your hands frequently with soap (for 20+seconds) -Stay home if you are sick -Avoid touching your face -Cough and sneeze into your elbow -Carry and use hand sanitizer -Consider wearing a disposable mask when in busy public spaces (shopping) -Limit physical contact with everyone, especially people like parents and grandparents (although maybe consider shopping for them), be antisocial. -Don't panic buy, you're actually quite likely to get COVID at a supermarket.
