HUGE "Rave" to the fantastic service provided by Connor Welsh at Country Camping on Saturday!! He delivered a much needed new snow blower to EVSCHS on the same day and showed myself and two of my folks how to use it!! Thanks again Connor!!!!

The stockings have all been delivered!! The community of sicamous has brought a lot of joy and happiness to our seniors! They were so surprised and moved by the generous gestures of kindness and love during the holidays. The stockings that you all made were so thoughtful and beautifully put together. We will be uploading a short video to show you what an impact this had as soon as we can get it finished. Thank you so very much. Merry Christmas from our tenants and staff.

Hello Parkview kids!! Wow we watched your Christmas concert at the Manor today. We will be watching it at the Lodge next week! You all did a wonderful job and we appreciate all the hard work that you and your teachers did. Your Grand-Pals want you to know that they are very very proud of you!! MERRY CHRISTMAS

Thank you to the staff and students of Parkview Elementary! They serenaded our residents with a variety of Christmas carols and left lovely little "Dear Grand-Pal" letters for each one of our seniors. I haven't seen our residents smile like that in MONTHS. Thank you <3

Two very sweet and anonymous citizens of Sicamous came by EVSCHS today and dropped off these fantastic hot chocolate bombs in a mug for each of our staff members as a gesture of thanks for all the hard work they have done ( and continue to do) for the residents of the Lodge and Manor during the COVID 19 pandemic. Thank you so much for thinking of us and may you have a very Merry Christmas

A big thank you to Laura Johnston and all the wonderful staff at Sascu for making these beautiful centerpieces for our tenants! They made them during their breaks. Our tenants love them and felt very touched by the gesture

Thank you Sicamous for your heartfelt generosity! We now have enough stockings for all of our residents. We know that this will make our seniors happy to know that they are so dearly loved by thier community! We feel so proud of our town and we love you right back.

It has been a very difficult year for our beloved seniors at Eagle Valley Senior Citizens Housing Society. We are a non-profit, low income seniors housing society located in the heart of Sicamous. We have received numerous requests from the wonderful citizens of Sicamous and surrounding areas asking how they can support our residents over the holiday season. We have decided that for those folks wanting to make our seniors holiday season a little brighter, that we will be h...appily accepting stockings filled with little items we know our seniors would appreciate. Items in these stockings could include: - Slippers or socks with grip - unscented lotions - large print word search books - adult coloring books and markers - scratch tickets - CHOCOLATE OR TREATS We currently have 29 women and 24 men between the Haven, Lodge, and Manor. Ideally we would love to have a stocking for each one of our residents. Please private message us, and let us know how many and what sex you would like to donate for. We will be checking this post daily and will keep an update so that we can make sure that everyone will have a stocking. These stockings should be average size so as to be fair to all residents. Please mark the stocking as "His" or "Hers". Stockings will be happily received between December 1 and December 20th at the front desk of the Manor. Our hours of drop-off for these stockings will be between the hours of 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm as we have a visitor policy plan in place we are required to follow. We want to thank the community of Sicamous for their generous spirit and wanting to bring holiday cheer to our valued seniors who have had a difficult year.

HUGE "Thank you" goes out to Deb Heap and her amazing team of volunteers for tackling the overgrown gardens at EVSCHS- Lodge and Manor! Our seniors and staff ( and I!) are looking forward to seeing the results of your planting of bulbs for next year and already the gardens look fabulous!!! Thank you!!!
